This study aims to reveal the views of teachers working in secondary schools in Ankara city center about discipline problems in schools. Qualitative research method was used in the study. The sample of the study consists of 10 teachers working in secondary schools in Ankara city center. Semi-structured interview questions were used for data collection. The answers given by the participants to the questions were analyzed and evaluated with Maxqda computer-aided qualitative data analysis. The most notable undisciplined behaviors identified as not complying with the dress code, peer bullying, and coming to class with incomplete materials. To ensure discipline, teachers reported using warnings/one-on-one meetings and meetings with parents in punishment practices. Among reward-oriented behaviors, it has been observed that giving gifts and assigning tasks in social activities come to the fore. Teachers stated that discipline problems are increasing day by day and shared their suggestions for making discipline practices more functional.
