AI Use Policy

The Artvin Çoruh University International Journal of Social Sciences (ACUSBD) attaches great importance to transparency and ethical principles in scientific publishing. In this context, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools during the manuscript preparation process is subject to the following rules:

1. Ethically Acceptable Uses

  • Language and writing support (correction of grammar, spelling, and fluency)
  • Text formatting and citation style editing (e.g., APA, MLA)
  • Guidance in literature search (authors must verify all references for accuracy)
  • Technical assistance in statistical analysis (e.g., coding support, method explanation)
  • Suggestions for text structure and organization

2. Ethically Unacceptable Uses

  • Generating full sections or entire manuscripts with AI tools
  • Conducting literature reviews directly through AI or using fabricated references
  • Producing or fabricating new data/results using AI tools
  • Manipulating or distorting findings and analyses through AI use

3. Declaration Requirement

For all submissions, authors are required to complete the AI Use Declaration Form.

  • If AI tools have been used, the name of the tool, its purpose, and the section(s) where it was applied must be clearly stated.
  • If no AI tools were used, the statement “No artificial intelligence-based tool was used in this study” must be included.

Authors retain full responsibility for the scientific content, accuracy, and ethical integrity of their work. AI tools cannot replace authorship; they may only provide limited support.
