ACADEMIC JOURNAL OF LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE (ADED) CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY

1. Purpose and Scope of the Policy

The Academic Journal of Language and Literature (ADED) is fully committed to identifying and managing any personal, commercial, political, or academic interest relations that may compromise the impartiality of scholarly works. This policy encompasses all stakeholders involved in the publication pipeline, including authors, peer reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board.

2. Ethical Disclosure Obligations for Authors

In accordance with the principle of scientific integrity, it is essential that only individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the study are designated as authors.

• Authorship Criteria: Only individuals who have made actual, substantive contributions to the manuscript must be credited as authors; unethical practices such as "gift" or "ghost" authorship must be strictly avoided.
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Authors are required to explicitly declare that they have no personal or financial conflicts of interest regarding the scope of the study.
• Documentation: This declaration must be completed using the official form provided on the journal’s website, bearing wet ink signatures, and uploaded to the system in PDF format during the initial submission.
• Financial Support: Funding institutions that supported the research and corresponding project grant numbers, if any, must be clearly disclosed within the manuscript text.

3. Impartiality in the Peer Review Process

Peer reviewers constitute the most critical audit mechanism for safeguarding the scientific quality of ADED.

• Obligation to Disclose: Reviewers must immediately notify the editorial office if they suspect any conflict of interest regarding the manuscript assigned to them.
• Declining Evaluation: In the event of a confirmed or potential conflict of interest, the reviewer is obligated to decline the evaluation request.
• Institutional Redundancy Kislatlamasi: To protect absolute impartiality, individuals employed at the same institutions as the manuscript's authors cannot serve as peer reviewers for the respective submission.

4. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors and Editorial Board Members

The Editorial Board issues publication decisions solely within the framework of academic merit.

• Financial and Personal Independence: Editors must have no personal or financial conflicts of interest associated with any manuscript undergoing the evaluation process.
• Publication Ban for the Editor-in-Chief: In strict adherence to publishing ethics and objectivity, the Editor-in-Chief cannot publish manuscripts in the journal during their term of office.
• Publication Terms for Board Members: Other editors, associate/section editors, and board members may submit manuscripts to the journal. However, in such cases, all editorial roles and system permissions of the respective member are completely suspended until the entire evaluation process is finalized.
• Violations and Direct Rejection: Manuscripts submitted by board members whose system access and permissions have not been explicitly suspended prior to submission will face direct rejection.
• Reviewer Ban: The Editor-in-Chief, editors, and Editorial Board members are strictly prohibited from serving as peer reviewers within the journal.
