ACADEMIC JOURNAL OF LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
WRITING GUIDELINES
General Principles
The Akademik Dil ve Edebiyat Dergisi (ADED) accepts original research articles written in Turkish and English on Turkish Language and Literature. The journal is published three times a year (April, August, and December) only in e-journal format. Submissions are accepted between February 15-28 for the April issue, June 15-30 for the August issue, and October 15-30 for the December issue. The review process typically takes about 45 days. Articles submitted to the journal are reviewed by 2 internal reviewers, 2 external reviewers, 2 language editors, and 1 final reviewer.
Articles accepted for review must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. They must be approved by the author(s) in terms of content and submission.
Starting from the August 2024 issue, articles derived from graduate theses will no longer be accepted for publication.
Starting from the August 2024 issue, book reviews/assessments will not be considered for publication.
In addition to the article submission, the Copyright Agreement Form must be signed by the author(s) in blue ink and uploaded in PDF format. Authors hold the copyright for their works published in the journal, which are released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
A single author may only submit one article per publication period (volume).
Articles must be written in Microsoft Word using the ADED Article Template, with the Minion Pro font, 10.5 pt for the main text, and 8.5 pt for footnotes.
Articles that do not use the APA citation style or exceed the 12,000-word limit will be returned to the author.
Submitted articles must include a 150-300 word Turkish abstract, an English abstract, and at least 5 keywords in both Turkish and English.
The publication and processing of articles in the journal are free of charge. There are no processing or submission fees for articles submitted or accepted for publication.
After an article is submitted to the journal, no author’s name can be removed from the author list or changed, nor can a new author be added without the written consent of all authors.
The content of the articles published in the Akademik Dil ve Edebiyat Dergisi is the sole responsibility of the author(s).
The Akademik Dil ve Edebiyat Dergisi reserves the right to make corrections to the submitted articles, decide whether to publish the articles, or not.
The article must include a Turkish and English abstract (150-300 words), 3-5 keywords in both languages, and a Turkish and English title at the beginning.
Articles should be submitted via the system using the link: https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/journal/2062/submission/step/manuscript/new after logging in at http://www.dergipark.org.tr. After uploading the article, the review process can be followed through the same page. The authors should wait for the reports from all the reviewers before making any revisions. If revisions are requested by the reviewers, the final version of the article should be uploaded again after the necessary corrections are made.
The submitted article must not have been previously published elsewhere.
An article rejected after the review process cannot be resubmitted.
