Aim & Scope
Mediterranean Journal of Sport Science (MJSS) is an open-access interdisciplinary academic periodical publishing high quality, original research. MJSS aims to facilitate and enhance communication across all sub-disciplines of the sport sciences.
Manuscripts about contemporary issues related to exercise and sport performance, biomechanics, sports nutrition, exercise and sport psychology, motor behaviour, sport pedagogy, sport sociology, sport management, leisure and all other sub-disciplines of sport are accepted to the journal. MJSS uses the open-access publishing and research networking policy to provide an equal opportunity to seek, share and create knowledge. There are no submission fees, publication fees or page charges for MJSS.
Author Guidelines
The preferred format for the manuscripts is MS Word.
Title of the study;
• Should be bold, use Times New Roman font size 14, and each initials capitalized
Manuscripts;
• Should be written with the following sub-titles in the following order: abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, references; appendices (as appropriate).
• Each sub-title’s initials should be capitalized, bold and should use Times New Roman font size 12
Abstract;
• Should be unstructured and contain between 150 and 250 words.
• Should contain between 3 and 5 keywords, separated by commas and initials-capitalized
• Should be single-spaced and use Times New Roman font size 10
Main text;
• should use Times New Roman font size 12 on paper size A4 with a 2,5 cm margins on each sides.
• Should use 1,5 line spacing.
• There should be no more than 40 references, and no more than 6 tables and figures (combined total).
• Spelling can be US or UK English so long as usage is consistent.
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th Edition, 2009) should be followed for all references, tables, figures and reporting the statistics.
Tables should be single-spaced and font size 10
Figures should be high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for colour). Figures should be supplied in JPEG for high-quality concerns.
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
All research papers in this journal have undergone peer review, following the initial editor screening and anonymized (double-blind) refereeing by at least two independent and expert referees. MJSS Editorial Board requires that authors strictly follow ethical guidelines from their country/state or international standards based on accepted reports (COPE Ethical Guidelines, ICMJE Recommendations, CSE’s White Paper on Promoting Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, WAME resources, WMA - The Declaration of Helsinki). Originality checking and plagiarism prevention services are used. Once your paper has been assessed for suitability by the editor regarding the simlarity score (15% max.), further review processes will then continue.

Price Policy
Akdeniz Spor Bilimleri Degisi hiçbir kurum veya kuruluş tarafından herhangi bir destek almamaktadır. Bu nedenle yazarlardan makale değerlendirme öncesinde ücret talep etmektedir. Makalenin sisteme yüklenmesi ardından editör ve alan editörü tarafından yapılacak olan ön inceleme sonucunda hakem değerlendirmesine başlanması kararı verildiğinde ücret ödemesi talep edilir. Makalelerin değerlendirme süreçleri, yayın süreçleri ve baskı hizmetleri nedeni ile yazarlardan talep edilen bu ücret değerlendirme öncesi istenmektedir. Makalelerin değerlendirme süreçleri önceside talep edilen bu ücret hakemler tarafından RED kararı çıkması sonucunda iade edilemez. Makale yayımı için talep edilmekte olan hizmet bedeli (KDV Dahil) 350 TL’dir.
Talep edilen bu ücret makalenin kabul veya red kararını etkilemez.
Söz konusu ücret uygulaması 01.01.2022 tarihinden itibaren uygulama alınmıştır.
