ATAD (Journal of Academic History Research) is an international peer-reviewed journal that aims to publish original scientific studies in the fields of history and interdisciplinary areas related to history, such as social, cultural, political, and economic fields, and meets academic incentive criteria. The core mission of our journal is to contribute not only to research conducted in the field of history but also to social science fields directly or indirectly related to history, and to foster an environment for scientific communication and discussion. Its vision is to become an internationally recognized, reliable, and reputable publication in the discipline of history and related fields.

Publication Scope

ATAD aims to contribute not only to the discipline of history but also to areas of the social sciences that intersect with history. In this context:

History: All subfields, primarily political, social, economic, cultural, intellectual, and diplomatic history.

History of Religions and History of Denominations: Religious movements, institutions, and ideas in their historical and social contexts.

Regional Studies: Historical and contemporary studies on the Middle East, the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Mediterranean, Europe, and other regions.

Political Science and International Relations: Political developments linked to historical processes, foreign policy analyses, and inter-state relations.

Interdisciplinary Approaches: Research emerging at the intersection of history and fields such as sociology, anthropology, law, economics, geography, and philosophy.

In addition, book reviews, translations of scientific articles, critical compilations, and methodological studies related to the above-mentioned disciplines or interdisciplinary fields are also included in the scope of our journal.

ATAD is published three times a year (April, August, December) via DergiPark.

Our journal adopts an open access policy; all published articles are available online without any fee.

No fees are charged to authors for article submission, evaluation, and publication.

The journal aims to provide a wider access network by being indexed in national and international academic indexes.
