Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Islamicjerusalem Studies go through preliminary control and are evaluated by one of the editors for their originality, completeness, adherence to the Author Guidelines, and its compliance with the journal scope. Only those manuscripts that pass the initial stage will then be sent to at least two referees for evaluation. The Journal maintains a double-blind review policy, where both the referee and the author remain anonymous throughout the process. This process aims to give constructive feedback to the author/s, so that their work is of the highest academic standard possible. The referees are asked to fill in an “Article Review Form” assessing the manuscript and the report together with comments from the referee are sent to the author/s. The Referee can suggest one of four decisions: a) Can be published in this form, b) Can be published after corrections, c) I would like to see the corrected version, or d) Should not be published. This helps the editor/s decide the manuscript’s suitability for publication based on these reports and suggestion.

The double blind peer-review process is managed using “ULAKBİM Dergi Sistemleri”, namely JournalPark/Dergipark platform.
