Biological Diversity and Conservation is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality scientific research in biodiversity, conservation biology, ecology, life sciences, environmental sciences, and related health sciences.
The journal aims to advance scientific knowledge on the conservation, sustainable management, and utilization of biological resources and ecosystems. It provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate findings that contribute to the understanding and protection of biological diversity at local, regional, and global scales.
The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, short communications, case reports, technical notes, editorials, and letters to the editor.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary studies integrating biological, ecological, environmental, and conservation sciences.
Biological Diversity and Conservation publishes manuscripts written in English and follows an independent, unbiased, and rigorous peer-review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality and integrity. The Journal is published four times a year (March, June, September, December).
Peer Review Policy
All articles submitted to the journal undergo a preliminary evaluation by the Editor. Articles deemed suitable are then subjected to peer review by independent, anonymous expert reviewers for a more detailed assessment.
Open Access Policy
Biological Diversity and Conservation is an open-access journal. All articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication without subscription or access barriers.
Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.
The journal supports the principle that making research freely available to the public enhances the global exchange of knowledge and increases the visibility and impact of scientific research.
The copyright and licensing conditions applicable to published articles are clearly indicated on each article and on the journal website.
All published content is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Biological Diversity and Conservation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions are made without discrimination regarding authors’ race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
Reviewers
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, maintain confidentiality, identify relevant published work not cited by the authors, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Authors
Authors must ensure that submitted work is original, accurately presented, and has not been published or submitted elsewhere. All sources must be appropriately cited. Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and obtain ethical approvals where necessary.
Plagiarism and Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or any other form of scientific misconduct. Suspected cases will be investigated according to COPE guidelines.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the evaluation or publication of a manuscript.
Corrections and Retractions
When necessary, corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions will be published to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
