Acting associate professor, PhD at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical Research University. His research focuses on the sustainable management and climate change adaptation of agro- and forest ecosystems. He employs a suite of modern techniques in his work, including dendrochronology, remote sensing (utilising NDVI analysis for assessing forest health and productivity), soil process studies (soil respiration, organic matter), and testing of biopreparations to enhance the resilience of woody vegetation.
Experienced Full Professor with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in ornamental trees and shrubs, woody plant ecology, invasive alien plants, lecturing, research. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Science (dr.sc) focused on phytosociology, and Master of Science (MSc) in dendrology from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Hans Em Faculty of Forest Sciences, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Engineering.
Biology
Dr. Moonisa Aslam Dervash is PhD and Post Doc in Environmental Sciences. She has qualified UGC NET, ICAR NET, and JK SET (twice). She has been been awarded NESA Young Scientist Award in 2024. Moreover, Dr. Dervash has received many prestigious awards and felicitations like Bharat Excellence Award, Best Educationist Award and International Achievers Award conferred by FFI and Global forum for her dedicated accomplishments. Her focus has remained on many facets of society especially on environmental conservation and women empowerment. She has been felicitated by state government (J & K Department of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing) for her outstanding contribution in environmental awareness and conservation through electronic media. She has been awarded Postdoctoral Fellowship by Ministry of Education (ICSSR), Government of India. She has authored many publications including more than 70 articles/chapters and 9 books to her credit.
I am 50 years old having 22 years teaching and research experience. Presently working as Professor and have published more than 170 publications including book chapters.
Prof. Dr. Sezgin Ayan is a Professor of Silviculture at the Faculty of Forestry, Kastamonu University, Türkiye. He received his BSc in Forestry from Karadeniz Technical University, followed by an MSc and a PhD in Silviculture. Prior to his academic career, he worked for nine years at the Ministry of Forestry in forest nursery management and forest research, holding senior positions, including Chief Engineer and Head of the Tree Improvement Department. He has held several academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Forest Engineering Department, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, and Vice-Rector of Kastamonu University. Prof. Dr. Ayan is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of international peer-reviewed forestry journals and has served on the editorial and advisory boards of numerous international scientific journals. His research focuses on silviculture, afforestation, forest restoration, and tree improvement. He has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international research projects. Among the international events he has organized are the 14th IUFRO Fir Symposium (Kastamonu, Türkiye, 2012), the 10th IUFRO Beech Symposium (Kastamonu, Türkiye, 2015), and the International Scientific Forum on Rehabilitation and Restoration of Degraded Forests (Astana, Kazakhstan, 2015).
Throughout his academic career, he has served as principal investigator and/or researcher in 33 completed scientific projects. He is the author or co-author of more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He has visited nearly 50 countries for scientific projects, academic events, and Erasmus teaching activities, and has served as a Visiting Professor in Kazakhstan.
I am Dr. Shadad Wani Lado, an Assistant Professor at the University of Upper Nile, South Sudan, specializing in forestry, environmental sciences, and sustainable development. My research focuses on non-wood forest products, forest conservation, and enhancing sustainable livelihoods for rural communities.
