Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology aims to make publications that will contribute to theological sciences in particular and Social and Human Sciences in general.
Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology publishes academic studies prepared in the field of Social and Human Sciences - Religious Studies.
Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology (BOZIFDER) is a national academic journal published by Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Theology as two issues per year on 30 June and 31 December.
- Text font must be Times New Roman and Traditional Arabic for Arabic texts, font size must be 12 pt, and footnotes must be 10 pt.
- Abstract has to be between 350-500 words and must be arranged as a single paragraph; Keywords must be at least 5 and the first keyword must indicate the field of the article and the phrases ‘Keywords’ and 'Anahtar Kelimeler' must be written in italics.
- Manuscripts have to be written in accordance with the article template in the link.
- For translations, the document showing that the copyright has been obtained must be sent together with the article from the Additional Files section.

In the research article type, only the works of researchers with a PhD degree are accepted for evaluation. For research articles with more than one author, at least one author must have a PhD degree.
- For articles requiring Ethics Committee Approval Certificate, the relevant document must be sent together with the article from the Additional Files section.
- Articles are scanned with iThenticate similarity programme at the preliminary review stage and the article is rejected if the similarity exceeds 20% in total and 3% in total from a single source.
- Articles submitted to our journal for publication are subjected to Pre-Check, Plagiarism Scan, Referee Evaluation and Turkish-English Language Check. The manuscripts that are examined twice at the Pre-Control stage but fail to pass this process are returned to the author and are not processed again in the same publication period. The manuscripts that pass the Preliminary Control stage are included in the evaluation process in which at least two referees take part within the framework of the principle of double blind peer review.
- Priority is given to the date of arrival in the publication of articles.
- A maximum of one study by the same author can be published in our journal in a year.
- Articles that are not prepared in accordance with the ISNAD Citation System 2nd Edition and Article Writing Word Template are rejected DIRECTLY at the Preliminary Control Stage and will not be processed again in the same publication period.

The publication processes applied in BOZIFDER constitute the basis for the impartial and reputable development and distribution of information. The processes applied in this direction are directly reflected in the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions supporting the authors. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers and researchers, publishers, referees and editors) comply with the standards for ethical principles. BOZIFDER expects all stakeholders to carry the following ethical responsibilities within the scope of publication ethics.
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a necessary building block in the development of a harmonised and respected knowledge network. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and their supporting institutes. Peer-reviewed articles support and shape the scientific method. It is therefore important for all parties involved in publishing, authors, journal editors, reviewers and publishing organisations, to agree on standards of expected ethical behaviour:
1. Authorship
The bibliography list must be complete.
Plagiarism and fake data should not be included.
The same research should not be attempted to be published in more than one journal, and the ethics of scientific research and publication should be followed.
Actions against scientific research and publication ethics are as follows:
a) Plagiarism: Presenting the ideas, methods, data, applications, writings, forms or works of others as one's own work in whole or in part without citing the owners in accordance with scientific rules,
b) Forgery: Producing data that are not based on research, editing or modifying the submitted or published work based on unreal data, reporting or publishing them, presenting a research that has not been conducted as if it has been conducted,
c) Distortion: Falsifying research records and data obtained, showing methods, devices and materials that were not used in the research as if they were used, not evaluating data that do not comply with the research hypothesis, manipulating data and/or results to fit the relevant theory or assumptions, falsifying or shaping the results of the research in line with the interests of the persons and organisations receiving support,
d)Republication: Presenting more than one work containing the same results of a research as separate works in associate professorship exam evaluations and academic promotions,
e) Slicing: Presenting the results of a research as separate works in associate professorship exam evaluations and academic promotions by inappropriately dividing the results of a research into parts in a way that disrupts the integrity of the research and by making many publications without citing each other,2. Author's Responsibilities
All authors must contribute significantly to the research.
A declaration that all data in the manuscript are true and authentic is required.
All authors are obliged to ensure retraction and correction of errors.
3. Responsibilities of the referees
Reviews should be impartial.
Reviewers should not have any conflict of interest with the research, the authors and/or the research funders.
Reviewers should cite relevant published but not cited works.
Checked manuscripts should be kept confidential.
4. Editorial Responsibilities
Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject an article.
Editors should not be in conflict of interest regarding the articles they accept or reject.
Only articles that will contribute to the field should be accepted.
When errors are found, they should support the publication or withdrawal of the correction.
Keep the names of the referees confidential and prevent plagiarism/fake data.
The refereeing process is central to the success of scientific publishing. Protecting and improving the peer review process is part of our commitment and BOZIFDER has an obligation to assist the scientific community in all cases of publishing ethics, especially in cases of suspicious, duplicate publications or plagiarism.
When a reader notices a significant error or inaccuracy in an article published in BOZIFDER or has any complaint about the editorial content (plagiarism, duplicate articles, etc.), he/she can send a complaint to bozokilahiyatdergisi@gmail.com. We welcome complaints as they will provide an opportunity for us to improve, and we aim to respond quickly and constructively.
5. Revealing Plagiarism
Articles submitted for publication in BOZIFDER are subjected to double blind peer review by at least two referees. In addition, a special plagiarism detection programme is used to confirm that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism.
The ethical principles and rules above have been prepared in accordance with the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (See COPE guidelines in English).

1. Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology (BOZIFDER) is a refereed and academic journal published twice a year (June and December).
2. Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology is published by Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Theology (Yozgat/Turkey).
3. The writing language of Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology is Turkish; the supported languages are English and Arabic.
4. Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology includes copyrighted and translated articles, simplifications, edition criticism, book reviews, and scientific meeting evaluations.
5. Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology publishes academic studies prepared in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities - Religious Studies.
Basic Islamic Sciences: Tafsir, Hadith, Kalam, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Literature.
Philosophy and Religious Sciences: Islamic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, Logic.
Islamic History and Arts: Islamic History, History of Islamic Arts, Turkish-Islamic Literature, Religious Music.
Religious Culture and Moral Education.
6. Maximum one study by the same author can be published in one issue.
7. The manuscripts sent to Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology for publication are examined by the Editorial Board, then sent to two referees who are experts in the subject, if necessary, a third referee is appointed and published according to the majority of the report. Manuscripts submitted to the journal without complying with the journal's writing principles are returned to the author for correction without being referred to the referee.
8. The scientific and legal responsibility of the published articles belongs to the authors.
9. The authors own the copyright of their works and the works can be accessed in full text without any restrictions and delays under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Licence (CC BY NC ND). Readers can download, print and share the article provided that the author's name and article title are cited. Articles cannot be modified in any way and cannot be used for commercial purposes.
10. All articles published in our journal are scanned with iThenticate plagiarism programme. ISNAD Citation System spelling rules apply to all articles.
11. Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology does not charge any fee from the authors for the article evaluation and publication process.
12. In order for articles to be published in Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology, they must not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Papers previously presented at a scientific meeting may be accepted provided that this is clearly stated.
No fee is received from the author or his/her institution under any name.
No fee is paid to the author for the articles published in Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Theology (BOZIFDER) and no fee is requested from the author.
Our journal does not charge any fee for article submission, article-editorial processes or publication fees (page or colour fees).
Articles are available free of charge in digital format.
