Our journal aims to contribute to the sharing of developments in the fields of teacher education, educational sciences, management sciences and social sciences in our country and in the world with stakeholders related to a scientific approach.

Not only research articles designed as qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods research, but also theoretical/conceptual studies, reviews of published studies, book reviews, translated articles, etc. can be sent to the journal.

The first article uploaded to the EML should be an anonymous article that does not contain author information, it should be written according to the article template, the ethics committee approval file should be uploaded for research that requires ethics committee permission, or the “Study Declaration Form that Does not Require Ethics Committee Permission” should be filled out and uploaded to the system for research that does not require ethics committee permission, and the situation should be stated in the article. In addition, it is necessary to upload the similarity report, upload the signed copyright transfer form and upload a cover page with the author's contact information. Articles that are not uploaded in this way are not taken into the evaluation process and rejected.

The blind peer-reviewing process is operated in our journal. In order for an article to be published, it is necessary to have the opinion of the referee that it can be published by at least two referees. Each anonymous article without author information is directed to 2 referees after editorial review. If two referees give a positive opinion, the article is accepted for publication. If one of the referees gives a positive opinion and the other a negative opinion about the article, the article is directed to the third referee. The process related to the article is completed with the opinion of the third referee. Referee evaluations are shared with the author. The author should make corrections on the article according to the evaluations of the referees and upload the corrected version of the article to the system. In studies that require the permission of the ethics committee, it should be stated that the ethical rules are followed by specifying the date and number of the ethics committee document in the method section of the article. After the evaluation process is completed, the articles accepted for publication should be finalized by the author(s) and uploaded to the journal site by adding the author's information.

Our journal pays attention to national and international standards and rules regarding "Publication Ethics", "Research Ethics" and "Legal/Special Permission Requirement". Assuming that permissions have been obtained for studies that require ethics committee permission in the research area, the issue of "include information about permission in the article" has been added to the article template. In accordance with the articles related to the Ethical Rules of the TR Index criteria; the situations that require the approval of the Ethics Committee for studies to be published as of 2020 are as follows:
• All kinds of researches carried out with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using surveys, interviews, focus group studies, observation, experiments, interview techniques,
• The use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
• Clinical studies on humans,
• Research on animals,
• Retrospective studies in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data,
Moreover;
• Indicating that an “informed consent form” was received in case reports,
• Obtaining and specifying permission from the owners for the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs belonging to others,
• Indication of compliance with copyright regulations for the intellectual and artistic works used
* More than one article of an author in the same year cannot be accepted and published.
When uploading your study to our journal, you must also upload your Ethics Committee document along with your article file. In studies that require ethics committee approval, it should be written that ethical rules are followed with the expression "Ethics Statement" (given the date and number of the ethics committee document), which you can see in detail in the article template after the bibliography at the end of the article. If your study is not included in the study group that requires the permission of the ethics committee, you must sign the declaration form stating this situation and specify the relevant situation in the “Ethical Declaration” text. Studies submitted to the journal must not have been previously published in another journal or sent to another journal for publication. Candidate articles sent to ÇYBD are scanned with the plagiarism program. The upper limit of the similarity rate was determined as 20% by the decision of the Editorial Board. Candidate articles with a similarity rate above this value are directly rejected. A candidate article may be rejected by the decision of the Editorial Board or the Field Editor before the referee review process begins or without being evaluated if it does not comply with the article template and writing rules of the ÇYBD. Authors have to fill in the "Copyright Transfer Form" for their articles, scan the signed version and upload it to the system. With this form, the publishing rights of the articles, sent to ÇYBD are transferred to EYUDER. In the evaluation process, it is adopted with the principle of blind refereeing (double-blinding method) and the candidate articles are sent to at least two referees and, if deemed necessary, to a third referee. The editor, field editor, author and referees are obliged to comply with the principles of scientific publication ethics. According to the TÜBITAK Research and Publication Ethics Committee Regulation (TÜBITAK, 2018), behaviours contrary to ethical rules are explained.

Article Publication Rules
1. In order for the article to be accepted for evaluation, it is necessary to prepare it in accordance with the writing rules of the journal. Articles that are not prepared in accordance with the writing rules are rejected at the preliminary evaluation and are not returned to the author for re-editing.
2. The articles submitted to the journal should not be published anywhere else.
3. The works presented at any symposium or congress can be published by specifying the name, place and date of the congress. In studies supported by a research institution or fund, the name and project number of the organization providing the support should be given.
4. The responsibility of the legal consequences that may arise in the context of copyrights of the articles that are not stated or published anywhere, belong to the authors. The copyright of the published articles belongs to The Journal of Contemporary Administrative Sciences, and the legal and scientific responsibilities belong to the authors.
5. Articles must be uploaded to the system via Dergipark.
6. Studies should be uploaded as an anonymous file. The article should not contain the name of the author or any author information. In addition, the academic title of the author(s), name, surname, the name of the institution to which he is affiliated, e-mail address(es), ORCID number(s) and GSM numbers, the name of the author who will conduct the correspondence, additional information to be given (thanks, If it is a work presented with an explanation and the article has not been published anywhere before, congress/symposium etc.) should be uploaded as an additional “Title/Cover Page” file with the article. Before the application process is completed, the “Application Preparation Checklist” should be carefully reviewed.
7. Author(s) should take care that the article does not exceed 9,000 words, including the title, abstract, references and appendices.
8. Articles sent to the journal for publication can be written in Turkish and English. The scientific and linguistic responsibility of the articles published in the journal belongs to the authors.
* Important: Retrospective Ethics Committee Permission is not required for articles that used research data before 2020, produced from master's / doctoral studies (must be specified in the article), applied for publication to the journal in the previous year, accepted but not yet published. The Work Declaration Form that Does Not Require Ethics Committee Permission should be filled in and uploaded to the system as an additional file and should be stated in the article.

No fee is charged for articles to be published in the Journal of Contemporary Administrative Sciences.

1975 Balıkesir’ de doğan Fatma ÇELİK KAYAPINAR, ilk ve orta öğrenimini Balıkesir’de tamamlamış olup, 1995 yılında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Buca Eğitim Fakültesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği programından mezun olmuştur. Aynı yıl Isparta Ş.A.İ.K Lisesinde Beden Eğitimi öğretmeni olarak göreve başlamıştır. 1998-2000 yılları arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Burdur Eğitim Fakültesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölümünde Araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. 2000 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Lisans programında lisansüstü eğitimine başlamış, 2007 yılında doktorasını aynı enstitü ve programında tamamladıktan sonra Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölümünde çalışmalarına devam etmiştir. 2019 yılı öğretim yılı sonuna kadar olan süreçte Burdur MAKÜ’de Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunun kuruluşu, Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölüm başkanlığı ve Müdür yardımcılığı görevlerini yürütmüştür. Ulusal ve Uluslararası dergilerde yayınlanmış makaleleri, Ulusal ve Uluslararası kongrelerde bildirileri, projeleri, kitapları ve kitap bölümleri bulunmaktadır. Çalışma alanları; psikomotor gelişim, hareket eğitimi, özel gereksinimli bireylerde beden eğitimi ve spor, sporda beslenme, fiziksel uygunluk ve aktivite, motor beceri öğrenimi, sporda ölçme ve değerlendirme konuları bulunmaktadır. 2019-2020 öğretim yılından günümüzü aynı kurumda Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Spor Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Başkanı ve Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Egzersiz ve Spor Bilimleri öğretim üyesi ve bölüm başkanı olarak görevine devam etmektedir.

Prof. Dr. Fatma ÇELİK KAYAPINAR
1975 Balıkesir’ de doğan Fatma ÇELİK KAYAPINAR, ilk ve orta öğrenimini Balıkesir’de tamamlamış olup, 1995 yılında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Buca Eğitim Fakültesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği programından mezun olmuştur. Aynı yıl Isparta Ş.A.İ.K Lisesinde Beden Eğitimi öğretmeni olarak göreve başlamıştır. 1998-2000 yılları arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Burdur Eğitim Fakültesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölümünde Araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. 2000 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Lisans programında lisansüstü eğitimine başlamış, 2007 yılında doktorasını aynı enstitü ve programında tamamladıktan sonra Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölümünde çalışmalarına devam etmiştir. 2019 yılı öğretim yılı sonuna kadar olan süreçte Burdur MAKÜ’de Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunun kuruluşu, Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölüm başkanlığı ve Müdür yardımcılığı görevlerini yürütmüştür. Ulusal ve Uluslararası dergilerde yayınlanmış makaleleri, Ulusal ve Uluslararası kongrelerde bildirileri, projeleri, kitapları ve kitap bölümleri bulunmaktadır. Çalışma alanları; psikomotor gelişim, hareket eğitimi, özel gereksinimli bireylerde beden eğitimi ve spor, sporda beslenme, fiziksel uygunluk ve aktivite, motor beceri öğrenimi, sporda ölçme ve değerlendirme konuları bulunmaktadır. 2019-2020 öğretim yılından günümüzü aynı kurumda Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Spor Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Başkanı ve Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Egzersiz ve Spor Bilimleri öğretim üyesi ve bölüm başkanı olarak görevine devam etmektedir.

Prof. Dr. Nuri Baloğlu lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimini Gazi Üniversitesi'nde tamamlamıştır. Akademik yaşamına 1994 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Kırşehir Eğitim Fakültesinde Araştırma Görevlisi olarak başlamıştır. Sonradan Ahi Evran Üniversitesi'ne dönüştürülen bu kurumda eğitim yönetimi alanında 1998 yılında Yardımcı Doçent 2013 yılında Doçent ve 2018 yılında Profesörlük kadrolarına atanmıştır.

Baloğlu'nun uluslararası ve ulusal düzeyde seçkin hakemli dergi ve yayınevlerinde yayımlanmış 200'e yakın bilimsel eseri bulunmaktadır. Üniversite yönetiminde Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı, Bölüm Başkanlığı, Dekan Yardımcılığı ve Genel Sekreterlik gibi idari görevler yürütmüştür. Kendi üniversitesinin dışında Yeditepe Üniversitesi ve Ahmet Yesevi Üniversitesinde lisansüstü dersler vermiş, İngiltere Liverpool Hope Üniversitesinde misafir öğretim üyesi olarak bulunmuştur. İyi derecede İngilizce bilmektedir.

Dr. Olcay Yavuz is, an Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department where he teaches courses in School Law, School Finance, Doctoral Inquiry Seminar, Leadership Perspectives, Program and Personnel Evaluation, Quantitative Methods in Educational Leadership, Organizational Development, Advanced Research Methods, Learning Theories, Leadership Development, School Leader Field-Based Internship as well as Dissertation Advisement and Defense. His research focuses on improving the college and career readiness of underprivileged students, comprehensive school counseling framework, program evaluation, and leadership development.

Dr. Yavuz earned his doctorate in Teacher Leadership from Rutgers State University. He also received his Master of School Counseling from New York Institute of Technology and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Science Education. Prior to coming to SCSU, He spent twelve years of his professional career as an educational leader, supervisor, professional counselor and math teacher in K-12 public schools. Dr. Yavuz holds K-12 Supervisor Standard Certificate, Director of K-12 School Counseling Services Standard Certificate, as well as K-12 Standard Mathematics Teaching and Permanent Professional School Counseling Certifications.

Prior to joining the faculty at Southern, Dr. Yavuz taught graduate level courses at New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He also worked at Rutgers State University as a project manager of “College and Career Readiness for All Initiative”. Through his scholarship, Dr. Yavuz has been training educational leaders, teachers, counselors and other key stakeholders to design, lead and evaluate research supported college and career readiness programs. Currently, as a researcher and school leader educator, Dr. Yavuz provides educational leaders and teachers with transformative learning experiences, resources, and support they need to implement effective strategies for improving education for all K-12 students.

As the founding editor of Journal of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (JELPS), Dr. Yavuz designed and launched a new scholarly journal. The U. S. Department of Education invited JELPS to be indexed in Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) that is used by over 12 million researchers around the world each year. Recently, Dr. Yavuz also developed the International Youth Leadership Academy (IYLA) which is a social justice project to support immigrant, refugee and international student success, including academic, social-emotional, college and career readiness needs. Finally, Dr. Yavuz designed and organized the first CT School Administrator and Counselor Leadership Forum on building collaborative efforts among CT school counselors and administrators to support K-12 student success

Kamil YILDIRIM received his Ph.D. in educational sciences, majoring in educational administration. Yıldırım has experience in different educational settings as a teacher in schools, and an expert in MoNE Board of Education and the Department of International Institutions (OECD, World Bank). He has been working at Aksaray University since 2010. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım currently serves as the head of the Department of Educational Administration.
