Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission Guidelines and Formatting Rules

Our journal has introduced professional typesetting services to enhance publication quality and streamline the editorial process. Consequently, authors are no longer required to adhere to complex formatting rules (such as columns, specific page headers, etc.) during the submission stage. Please prepare your manuscript in a "plain" format in accordance with the following guidelines:

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively in Microsoft Word (** .docx**) format.
  • Page Layout: The text should be prepared in a single-column format, 12-point font size, using a standard typeface (Arial or Times New Roman), and with 1.5 or double line spacing.
  • Titles: The article title must be provided in both Turkish and English. Main headings (Introduction, Materials and Methods, etc.) must be numbered.
  • Author Information: Full names, titles, institutional affiliations, city/country information, email addresses, and ORCID numbers of all authors must be provided in full. The Corresponding Author must be clearly identified.
  • Abstract and Keywords: Both the Turkish (Öz) and English (Abstract) texts must not exceed 250 words. Each version must include 3 to 5 keywords.
  • Ethical Approval: For studies involving human or animal subjects, an "Ethical Approval" subheading must be included under the "Materials and Methods" section. The name of the ethics committee, the date of approval, and the protocol/approval number must be explicitly stated.
  • Visual Elements: Figures and tables should be placed directly following the relevant paragraph within the text and must be numbered. To ensure high layout quality, high-resolution versions of all images must also be uploaded to the system as "Supplementary Files."
  • References: Citations within the text should be numbered in square brackets, e.g., [1] or [2, 3], and the reference list must be arranged numerically according to this order.

Similarity Report Requirement

The full text of the manuscript, including the references section, must be screened using iThenticate or Turnitin plagiarism detection software. The resulting similarity report must be saved in PDF format and uploaded to our submission system.

Ethics and Compliance Requirements

✯ For all studies that require ethics committee approval, such approval must be obtained, clearly stated within the manuscript, and properly documented.

✯ In research requiring ethics approval, detailed information—the name of the ethics committee, approval date, and approval number—must be included in the Methods section, and additionally on either the first or last page of the manuscript. For case reports, the manuscript must include a statement confirming that written informed consent was obtained from the participant(s).

✯ The journal’s website must include a clear statement confirming that all manuscripts comply with Research and Publication Ethics.

✯ Ethical responsibilities and guidelines for authors, reviewers, and editors must be presented under separate headings on the journal’s website.

✯ Ethical principles must be explicitly stated in the journal and/or on the journal website, with reference to national and international standards. For instance, scientific manuscripts submitted to the journal should follow the recommendations of the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) International Standards for Editors and Authors.

✯ Compliance with relevant copyright regulations is mandatory for all intellectual and artistic works used within the manuscript.
