Electronic Journal of Social Sciences believes that for open access to work effectively, user rights and copyright ownership through licensing must be clear.

The journal's open access articles are licensed as Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).
The Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence permits sharing, copying, reproducing, and adapting the work in any size and format except for commercial use, including remixing, transforming, and building upon the work, provided that proper attribution is given to the original work.

The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms (specified rights) as long as you fulfil the terms of the licence.
