Turkey Editors' Workshop Decisions ( https://editorlercalistayi.com/ )
• The journal of Young Thinkers checks whether there is plagiarism in the studies submitted for review: While the article is uploaded to the system, plagiarism detection using intihal.net software is mandatory. Editors may check the article for plagiarism at various stages of the evaluation or production process, if necessary. High similarity rates can cause an article to be rejected before or even after acceptance. This rate is expected to be less than 20%.
• The publication processes implemented in the Journal of Young Thinkers are the basis for the development and distribution of information in an impartial and respectful manner. The processes implemented in this direction are directly reflected in the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support the authors. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers and researchers, publishers, referees and editors) comply with the standards for ethical principles. Within the scope of publication ethics of the Journal of Young Thinkers, all stakeholders are expected to bear the following ethical responsibilities:
The ethical duties and responsibilities listed below have been prepared by taking into account the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as open access (See COPE Directive) COPE Workflow Diagrams (Turkish).
If situations such as manipulation and distortion of the data used in the articles and the use of fabricated data are detected, this situation will be officially reported to the institution where the author of the article works and the article will be rejected. The Journal of Young Thinkers has the right to request the output files of the analysis results from the authors according to the feedback given by the editor and/or referees.
The study prepared for publication; If the book chapter is produced from the unpublished paper text and the master's or doctoral thesis, this issue must be stated in Turkish and English on the first page of the study.
• In order for the articles produced from the communiqué to be evaluated, the author must send his article with a wet-signed undertaking stating "My work has not been published before and will not be published." Because duplication/rebroadcasting/scientific deception/multiple publication is a crime. According to the TÜBİTAK Publication Ethics Committee, republication is sending or publishing the same research results to more than one journal for publication. If an article has already been evaluated and published, other publications are considered re-publications.
•The article acceptance and evaluation process in the Journal of Young Thinkers is carried out in two different ways, both through the dergipark system and outside the system. Since the authors who submit their articles from abroad send their articles to our journal with other acceptance methods without uploading their articles to the system, and the referees who evaluate these articles during the evaluation process evaluate the articles outside the system, the article process statistics of Dergipark are not sufficient to show the article publication information of our journal. You are respectfully requested to take this into account when reviewing the statistics. In accordance with the rule, our journal accepts article acceptance from the dergipark system. However, our authors, who encounter difficulties in submitting articles from abroad, send their articles to us via e-mail. In article submissions by e-mail, all author information must be written in the article template.
Publication Ethics Statement
Correction, Retraction, Expression of Concern
Editors may consider publishing a correction if minor errors are detected in the published article that do not affect the findings, interpretations, and conclusions. Editors should consider retracting the manuscript in the event of major errors/violations that invalidate the findings and conclusions. If there is a possibility of misuse of research or publication by the authors; If there is evidence that the findings are not credible and that the authors' institutions are not investigating the incident, or if the potential investigation appears to be unfair or inconclusive, editors should consider publishing an expression of concern. Regarding the correction, retraction or expression of concern, the COPE and ICJME guidelines are taken into account.
Plagiarism Action Plan and Journal's Precautions
The journal respects intellectual property and aims to protect and promote the original work of its authors. Plagiarized articles are against the standards of quality, research, and innovation. Therefore, all authors who submit articles to the journal are expected to comply with ethical standards and avoid plagiarism in any form. If an author is suspected of plagiarism in a submitted or published article, the Editorial Board of the journal examines the study. The Journal then contacts the author(s) to submit their explanations within two weeks. If the journal does not receive any response from the author within the specified time, it contacts the university to which the author is affiliated and requests that the claim be investigated.
The journal will take the following serious measures against published articles that are found to contain plagiarism:
1. The journal will immediately contact the university to which the author(s) are affiliated for final action against the relevant author.
2. The journal will remove the PDF copy of the published article from the website and disable all links to the full-text article. The phrase Plagiarized Article will be added to the title of the published article.
3. The journal will deactivate the author's account and reject all future submissions of the author for 3 years.
This journal checks for plagiarism in studies submitted for review: Pre-checked articles are scanned for plagiarism using intihal.net software. If plagiarism/self-plagiarism is detected, the authors are informed. Editors may check the article for plagiarism at various stages of the evaluation or production process, if necessary. High similarity rates can cause an article to be rejected before or even after acceptance. This rate is expected to be less than 20%.
