Open Access Policy

Journal of Islamic Law Studies has started to publish all scholarly articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) since 2022 (Issue: 39).

Journal is an open-access journal and all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. In this context, all the articles published in the journal are accessible on Dergipark. Printed copies of the journal are also distributed free of charge. Our journal allows its readers to "read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to their full texts" in accordance with the definition of "open access" of BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative).

The journal also adopts and applies the "The Initiative for Open Citations I4OC" approach in line with Open Access Policy, for citations. Click for detailed information.


From the beginning of 2022 authors publishing with Journal of Islamic Law Studies retain the copyright (without any restrictions) to their work, licensing it under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). With this permission of the licensee copying, distribution and viewing operations on the work can only be performed on verbatim copies of the work, not derivative works. This license allows the work to be shared, copied and reproduced in any size and format, except for commercial use and without changing the content, provided that it is referenced and published under similar license conditions to be created.
