The Assessment Process
The studies that are sent to be published in the International Journal of Social and Educational Studies are firstly examined by editors or section editors in the terms of whether it obliges to the journal's publication principles or not. If the study is in alliance with the journal's publication principles it is then sent to at least two referees with the method of two- sided blind referees to be evaluated. In the case of a stated negative review from one of the referees, it is sent to a third referee. If the third referee's decision is negative, the text is returned to its author. Otherwise, the final decision is given in the journal counseling and publication council considering the third referee's evaluation result. In order for the execution of the two-sided blind referee method, the authors need to don't consist any information in their text that shows their identity informations before adding their texts to the system. The author's information will be added by the editors in the step of correction. All of the texts' similarity reports are deducted before they are sent to the referees by the programs Turnitin and iThenticate. If the similarity is above the %25, the text is returned to its author. The similarity reports of studies that are taken into the publication process are sent to the referees for information purposes.
Every article's assessment is completed in a approximately three months period. But even if the assessment process is completed within three months, the publication process may be changing depending on the intensity of the articles. The articles are put in order by the order of arrival and considering the subject and period distribution.
