Journal of Metaverse is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that devotes itself to publishing original articles from different disciplines about metaverse. Aiming global circulation, it is international, open access, and free of charge. The journal which started its publication life in November 2021 is the leading academic journal to publish thematically on matters of the metaverse. It is published electronically with two issues in a year. There will be two issues between January-June (The first issue) and July-December (The second issue).

The journal aims to bring new approaches to metaverse with new theories, ideas, designs, frameworks, mechanisms, and technologies. The financial, sociological, cultural, literary, psychological and other interdisciplinary aspects of this newly emerging field with other multi-disciplinary connections are also welcomed. We aim to bring closer the academia and industry to present their original research and achievements. High-quality survey articles will also be published. Journal of Metaverse cares and prioritizes that all the articles it publishes are of high quality and contribute to science.

Journal of Metaverse started to give DOI to articles in 2023 issues.

Journal of Metaverse applies and accepts the publishing principles of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) organizations. In addition, Journal of Metaverse applies the publishing principles determined by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM DergiPark.

The Journal of Metaverse regularly publishes two issues per year. Special issues can also be published. All policies and operations applied in regular issues are used exactly for special issues.
