GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the DergiPark system. Authors are required to create an account before submission:
https://dergipark.org.tr/en/register
Manuscripts should preferably be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format. Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the template of the Journal of Multidisciplinary Academic Tourism (JOMAT), which is available on the journal website.
To ensure a double-blind review process, the manuscript file must not contain any information that may reveal the identity of the authors.
In addition to the manuscript and metadata file, authors are encouraged to upload a title page. For empirical studies, submitting the dataset as supplementary material is also recommended.
Authors submitting articles acknowledge that they have read and understood the journal’s ethical principles and publication policies and agree to act in accordance with these principles by completing the relevant declaration form via the link provided below: https://jomat.org/aa/
Mandatory Declaration on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
JOMAT adheres to its policy on the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in research and manuscript preparation. Authors are required to comply with this policy.
The corresponding author must complete the AI Use Declaration Form on behalf of all co-authors during the submission process. By completing this form, the corresponding author confirms that all co-authors have read, understood, and agreed to the journal’s AI policy and takes responsibility for the accuracy of the declaration.
The form is available at:

Manuscript Layout
- The main document should include the title (written in sentence case; only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized), abstract, 3 to 7 keywords, main text, appendices, notes, references, as well as all tables and figures. Tables and figures should be properly embedded within the manuscript. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively.
- The abstract should be between 150 and 300 words. It should be concise and factual, briefly stating the purpose of the research, methodology, principal results, and major conclusions.
- There are no strict word count requirements; however, research notes are typically between 3,000 and 5,000 words. Full manuscripts generally should not exceed 12,000 words.
Submitted manuscripts, or substantial parts thereof, must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere. Presentations of preliminary findings (e.g., conference abstracts) are not considered prior publication.
All authors must have made a substantial contribution to the manuscript and must approve its final version. Authors confirm that they have the necessary rights to use all content included in the manuscript. If materials (e.g., tables or figures) are reproduced from other sources, authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder(s).
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial or non-financial relationships that may influence the research. Such disclosures should be provided in the cover letter or on the title page.
Manuscripts should be self-contained and make a clear contribution to the relevant literature.
Supplementary materials, such as datasets, should be submitted together with the manuscript where applicable.
There are no submission, publication, or page charges.
References
The reference list should appear at the end of the manuscript on a new page and must follow APA 7 style. Journal articles must include volume, issue, and page numbers where available.
For detailed guidance on APA 7 referencing, see:
https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples
Tables
Tables should be limited in number and clearly presented. Explanatory notes should be provided below the table using lettered footnotes.
Only the first word in each column heading and stub entry should be capitalized.
Table titles should appear above the table as follows:
Table 1. Results of the Measurement Model
The source should be indicated below each table. If created by the authors:
Source: Authors’ elaboration
Figures
Figures should be clear, readable, and not overloaded with information. Vector graphics are preferred; otherwise, high-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi) should be provided.
Figure labels should appear below the figure as follows:
Figure 1. Study Region
The source must be indicated below each figure. If created by the authors:
Source: Authors’ elaboration
