About the Journal

Urban Academy Journal is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal (with at least three reviewers assigned to each manuscript) operating under a continuous publication model, in which accepted articles are published online without waiting for issue completion. The journal publishes articles in both Turkish and English. Authors are kindly requested to use the initial submission template available in the Documents menu when uploading their manuscripts. When preparing the reference list, authors should leave one blank line between each reference. All references (books, journal articles, theses, etc.) should be presented in a single, consolidated list, ordered alphabetically by authors’ surnames, without categorical separation.

Articles accepted within the scope of the special issue entitled “Cities Under War: Migration, Poverty, Resilience, and Regenerative Design” will be published as a themed issue in Volume 19, Issue 7 of the journal.

Submission Requirements:

• The similarity index must be below 20%, with no more than 1% similarity per individual reference.
• Only original research articles and review articles are accepted.

Urban Academy is officially recognized and accredited for academic advancement and evaluation processes—including associate and full professorships, scientific appointments, research incentives, and graduate degree requirements—both in Turkey and internationally.
