Publication History

Our journal began to be published monthly in January 2008 and continued monthly from 2008 to 2010. From March 2010 to December 2011, the article was published in scientific format four times a year, without being reviewed by a referee. Since March 2012, it has started to publish nationally refereed articles four times a year, as of 2017 it has been included in the Dergi Park System as an International, Double-Blind Peer Reviewing Journal. In 2019, it was accepted into the TR DİZİN Social and TR DİZİN Science databases.

Process:

According to the mission of our journal, it has adopted a principle which proceeds a publication process as fast as possible by contributing to science without deviating from ethics and quality. In this context, articles are to be submitted to our journal from the official date of publication until 30 days.

Publication Fee

2. FEES FROM READERS and/or SUBSCRIPTION SYSTEMS
a. Urban Academy / Journal of Kent Akademisi does not demand any fees from its readers.

b. Provisions requested by Kent Akademi Journal regarding libraries and special directories are reserved. Preliminary Assessment of Plagiarism:

In the article preliminary evaluation period, articles of 20% and below reported in the ITENTICATE similarity rate report, excluding the bibliography, will be published.

OUR SIMILARITY RATE POLICY:

Similarity reports in our journal are checked twice, at the beginning of the process and the end of the process.

During the upload of the articles to the system, the author receives an IThenticate report on the last version by any of the three scanning programs (IThenticate, Turnitin, Plagiarism Net) and by the section editors (after language control) after the refereeing process is completed.

The author should upload the similarity report of the article to the system anonymously and without templates, except for the bibliography.

When necessary, the referee can see the similarity report of the article through the files menu in the process.

No matter which scanning program is scanned, our upper limit of similarity rate is 20%. The maximum value for each citation should be 1%. OVER THE LAST VERSION FILE, only the reports scanned with the iThenticate program are valid.

If the similarity report is 20-22% due to the footer, header, and tag sections, to reduce the rate below 20%, the tag can be reduced to the required rate by removing the header and footer sections and re-scanning. In legal matters, this rate is 25%, limited to the articles on which the legislation is examined and researched, and 2% for each citation is our upper limit.

OUR REFERENCE VALUES IN THE SIMILARITY RATE SCAN:

1. When scanning, the parts to be excluded from the scanning settings: a) Bibliography b) Abstract, (if any) Material and Method
These parts should be scanned by setting EXCLUSION from the scan setting without being removed from the article text.
4. Similarity rates shouldn't be more than 1% in each reference, and the total should be less than 20%.
5. iThenticate scanning program is our official scanning program.

ARCHIVE and DATABASE ACCESS

Our journal uses Dergipark and TR DİZİB to achieve on a national basis.
