Dear authors, we would like to share the following announcements about our journal with you.
1. a: Our journal fee policy has been updated within the scope of our fee policy, by the decision taken in the meeting dated 28/02/2023 and numbered S:54/2023/1/3. Accordingly, to cover our journal's publication and process costs, it has been decided to update the 500 TL fee to 1000 TL (One Thousand Turkish Lira) which will start from 15/03/2023 for each article. This fee is taken from Turkish citizens, and the publication fee of 50 USD from foreigners will stay the same as before. Details on our publication fee policies can be accessed from the "Publication Fee Policy" menu of our journal.

1. Our journal's publication charge policy has been updated by the decision taken at the ordinary meeting dated 05/07/2022 and numbered S:51/2022/3/1.
Accordingly, to cover the publication and process costs of our journal, TC. decided to charge a publication fee of 500 TL from its citizens and 50 USD from foreigners for each article. Details on our publication fee policies can be accessed from the "Publication Fee Policy" menu of our journal.
2. Article fee payments will be valid for articles that will be uploaded to the system after 05/07/2022, for which the decision has been taken.

Within the scope of our Editorial Board decision, the following changes and updates have been made to our journal publication flow.
1. It has been decided to apply the extended summary application in Turkish articles starting from Volume 15, Issue 3 so that the authors who have articles in the process do not suffer.
2. For articles, adding JEL code will be applied from Volume 15 Issue 2.
3. The editorial period of the article (including the pre-control process, the refereeing process, and the publication preparation process) is foreseen as 60 days. However, if this period of 60 days passes, our authors can inform the relevant section editors about the delay. This information will be perceived as being informed by our editors. If at least 6 months have passed since the publication of our authors' articles, the field editor will be warned.

Our Home Page "Explanations" section has been updated. Some new changes have been made in this section. These updates are below:
Our journal is an international 3 mutually blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes four issues per year in March, June, September, and December. The publication language is Turkish and English. The similarity report of the articles should be below 20%. When uploading an article, authors should download an article template from the Documents menu and upload it according to this template, when creating a bibliography, leave a line space between each reference in the bibliography, bibliographies, books, articles, theses, etc. We kindly ask you to sort them by surname in a single block without making any distinctions.
Note: The articles submitted in English in our journal are given priority in the processes and publication. In the assignment and reassignment table to our journal, a certificate of appreciation is given to our authors who have been cited in A1 or 1A group journals. This certificate is published on the social media page of our journal and our portal site at www.kentakademisi.com.

Regarding the ethics committee permission within the scope of TR Dizin Journal Evaluation Criteria; The permission process, which is expected to be applied for studies that used research data before 2020, starts in 2020 and is mandatory for articles whose research data belongs to 2020. Retrospective ethics committee approval is not required for articles produced from master's/doctoral studies, whose research data were used before this date (2020).

As it is known in our journal, since Volume 13, Issue 3, at least three referees have been required in the 3 referee processes.
As of Volume 14, Issue 1, (March 2022) during the refereeing processes;
1. Each of the three referees must be from a different university,
2. If two referees have to be from the same university (due to their field of expertise and peer referee), each of the referees from the same university is from a different faculty, He can be accepted if he is employed in the institute or academic unit.
3. It cannot be withdrawn by the author of the article who has entered the refereeing process and has been appointed as a referee.
As our conditions get harder with our international accreditations, our quality will increase even more. To bright tomorrows hand in hand. Our success is your success.

Our schedule and article theme in our winter issue was Public Health in Urban Areas, and we will continue with the same plan and theme in the first issue of 2021.
For our Winter Issue (VOLUME 13, ISSUE 4) Submission Deadline: is 15/11/2020. Articles sent after this date will be included in the publication schedule of Volume, 14, Issue 1.
As of 2021, our journal will make the English Extended Abstract section mandatory.
