All studies should be prepared in accordance with the Turkish template or English template showing the layout of all pages and the TR Index criteria.
If the original language of the submitted article is Turkish, Turkish title, Turkish abstract, English title, English abstract; if the original language of the article is English, English title, English abstract, Turkish title, Turkish abstract should be included. Keywords should be written under the Öz/Abstract sections. Abbreviations should not be used in Öz/Abstract. Öz/Abstract sections should be written in “Calibri Light” 9 font size and should not exceed 250 words. The title of the article should be written in 14 pt, initial letters capitalized, bold and centered on the page. Author names should be written in 9-point font, centered on the page in the format of Name SURNAME. Öz/Abstract titles should be written in 9 pt, with the first letters capitalized, bold and centered on the page. Keywords should be written with the first letter of each word capitalized, separated by a comma, and a period should not be placed at the end. Öz/Abstract should fit on one page and the “Introduction” section should start on a new page.
The manuscript should be written in Calibri Light font, 10-point font size, “single” line spacing, without indenting the first line of the paragraph and with a post-paragraph spacing of 6 pt. For articles written in Turkish, an “Extended Abstract” of 700-1000 words should be added after the bibliography and should be written in 9 pt. font size. For articles written in English, an “Extended Abstract” can be added optionally. Extended Abstract followed by the Statement of Research and Publication Ethics should start on a new page. Appendices should be placed last.
Abbreviations should be written 1 time in full form and the abbreviated form should be given in parentheses. If the text is already in parentheses, square brackets should be used. Example: United Nations (UN); (United Nations [UN]).
Page size should be 18*24 cm, margins should be 1.25 cm at the bottom, 1.25 cm at the top, 1.75 cm at the right, 1.75 cm at the left, and 0 cm from the left, and the page structure should be written justified.
The introduction, conclusion and bibliography sections should not be numbered and the headings should be written in Calibri Light font, 11-point, bold style. Öz, abstract, extended abstract, research and publication ethics statements and appendix headings should be written in 9-point, bold and centered. Appendix headings should be numbered.
All other in-text headings should be written in 11-point, bold style, left aligned and numbered in dotted format without leaving a paragraph space. No spaces should be left after or before the headings.
If the source is quoted verbatim, it should be enclosed in quotation marks and the page number should be given when referring to the source. When referring to the sources in the Turkish text, “s.” should be used for page information and “ss.” for page breaks. In English texts, “p.” and “pp.” should be used. (İnalcık, 2011, p. 23) or, as Halil İnalcık (2011, p. 23) emphasizes... or, as İnalcık (2011) emphasizes...
Works by the same author published in the same year should be given in alphabetical order as 2012a, 2012b, respectively. İnalcık (2011a, pp. 22-45).
In-text citations with two authors should be cited as (Özdemir and Özkan, 2020) and in-text citations with three or more authors should be cited as (Özkan et al., 2021).
If more than one source is to be cited at the same time, the sources should be separated from each other with semicolons in a single parenthesis, in alphabetical order. (Sabah, 2016; West, 2012).
If the statements in the source to be cited are to be given verbatim, the quoted text should be enclosed in double quotation marks (“...”) and the page number should be included in the in-text citation. For direct quotations over 40 words, the quoted text should be indented 1.25 cm from right and left and separated from the main text.
When referring to sources prepared by official institutions and organizations, if it is required to use the abbreviation of the name of the institution, the full name of the institution should be given in the first citation, followed by the abbreviation in square brackets (Turkish Statistical Institute [TÜİK], 2018). In all subsequent citations, only the abbreviation can be used (TÜİK, 2018). In the bibliography, the full name of the institution should be included without abbreviation.
When using secondary sources, both the primary source and the citing (secondary) source should be cited in the text. For example (Black, 1989, as cited in Pitt et al., 2024). Only the secondary source (cited) should be included in the bibliography.
One line space should be left before and after the use of tables, figures, etc. The table number and title should be centered in 11 pt (Table 1. in bold) and the information in the table should be in 10 pt. The information in the first line of the table should be bold and the rest should be written normally. If any note is to be used in the table, it should be preceded and followed by a dash and written as Note: Example...
The source(s) used in the table should be given in parentheses after the table according to in-text citation rules. The same standard format should be applied and centered for all other uses of figures, figures, etc., such as tables. In order to preserve the integrity of the use of tables, etc., it is possible, but not mandatory, to start from the next page.
The list of all sources utilized and used in the study should be consistent with the references in the text, and should continue after the conclusion without skipping a page. Sources that are not cited in the text should not be included in the bibliography. The references in the bibliography should be written in Calibri Light font, 10 point size, in the same way as in the text. The listed references should be listed alphabetically and the following lines of each reference should start 1.25 cm from the inside. URL addresses shown in the bibliography should be given as hyperlinked as in the https://iibfdergi.klu.edu.tr example.
