Article Submission Process

MUJAD is a peer-reviewed journal.
• The secretary checks articles for compliance with the journal format (template, APA 7, etc.) and the Similarity Report. Articles that do not meet the criteria are returned to the author.
• The Editorial Board Reviews articles for content and language. Those that do not meet the criteria are returned to the authors. For those that meet the criteria, a Field Editor is assigned.
• The Field Editor evaluates the article's suitability for the field and its academic competence.
• Co-editors send articles approved by the Field Editor to referees.
• Articles are sent anonymously to two reviewers selected based on their level of knowledge and areas of expertise.
• Reviewers are given two weeks to complete their evaluations.
• Minor and major revisions requested by the reviewers from the authors are checked again by the reviewers.
• If the evaluation results in one positive and one negative opinion, the work is sent to a third reviewer. If the third reviewer also gives a negative opinion, the article is rejected.
• Article evaluation forms are sent to authors anonymously in accordance with the double-blind peer review process.
• In cases where changes are required based on reviewers' recommendations, authors are given one week for minor revisions and two weeks for major revisions.

Manuscripts submitted to our journal are evaluated within approximately four weeks. The "Preliminary Article Evaluation," "Editorial Board Review," and "Field Editor Review" processes require approximately three weeks. After the manuscripts have passed these stages, referees are invited to review. Reviewers are given one week to respond to the invitation and two weeks to evaluate the manuscript. If the process is delayed for any reason, an additional week is granted. Authors are given one week for minor revisions and two weeks for major revisions. Taking these processes into account, our journal's article review period is approximately twelve weeks. Cases such as referees not responding on time and/or reassignment of referees may extend the process.
