Article Retraction Process

The Marmara University Journal of Art and Design (MUJAD) Editorial Board conducts the article retraction process in accordance with the COPE guidelines. The responsibilities of authors and editors in this regard are shared below:

Retraction of an Article by the Author(s)

Authors are obligated to collaborate with the MUJAD Editorial Board if they detect an error in their work during the pre-review, editorial review, early view, or publication stages
:

• Authors wishing to withdraw their work must submit an Article Withdrawal Form to the MUJAD Editorial Board.
• The Article Withdrawal Form must be completed by the corresponding author.
• The reason for withdrawing the article must be clearly and explicitly stated.
• The Article Withdrawal Form must bear the wet signatures of all authors.
• This form must be scanned and sent to mujad@marmara.edu.tr.
• The request to withdraw the article will be evaluated and decided upon by the MUJAD Editorial Board within 15 days.
• Articles undergoing the withdrawal process cannot be submitted to another journal during this period.

Retraction of an Article by the Editor(s)

The editor(s) may initiate the retraction process if one or more of the following circumstances apply to a study:


• If there is clear evidence that the findings of the publication are unreliable,
• If publication ethics have been violated,
• If the necessary legal permissions have not been obtained,
• If ethical committee approval has not been obtained,
• If there are copyright infringements,
• If it is based on a manipulated or unreliable peer review,
• If conflicts of interest have not been disclosed.
