ABOUT THE JOURNAL
The Journal of Defence and War Studies is a national, double-blind refereed journal published semiannually (June-December) by the Dean’s Office of Turkish Military Academy. It accepts articles related to social sciences. The Journal is indexed/ abstracted by ULAKBİM TR Dizin, ULAKBİM Dergipark and Google Scholar Services. The scientific and linguistic content of the studies published in the Journal is under the authors’ responsibility. The views expressed in the journal are solely of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of National Defence University, Ministry of Defence or The Turkish Armed Forces.
Open Access Statement: All the articles published in this journal are free to access immediately from the date of publication. We do not charge any fees for any reader to download articles for their own scholarly use.
History of the Journal: The Journal of Defence and War Studies started its publishing life in 1991 named as “The Journal of Turkish Military Academy”. It has changed its name as “The Science Journal of Turkish Military Academy” in 1995. It has been being published as a national and double-blind refereed journal since 2006. It has changed its name to “The Journal of Defence and War Studies” by its 2020 fall issue and continues its publishing life.
