The primary aim of the Journal of Social Sciences of Sinop University is to present high-quality and original research that primarily develops theories, concepts, and hypotheses in the field of social sciences to the attention of the academic community. In this context, the journal seeks to evaluate the accumulated knowledge in the field of social sciences from the past to the present, to develop it through revisions when necessary, and to foster the production of new and innovative ideas. Additionally, the journal serves as an important platform for the production and dissemination of academic knowledge.

The Journal of Social Sciences of Sinop University aims to contribute to the literature of social sciences by publishing scholarly works in the field. The journal considers articles in both Turkish and English from all disciplines related to social sciences, including Turkish Language and Literature, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Archaeology, Theology, Social Studies and History Education, Fine Arts, Business, Economics, and Political Science etc. In this context, the journal not only accepts research articles but also features different types of written works such as book reviews and conference evaluations, thus fostering an interdisciplinary academic dialogue.
