The Journal of Social Sciences of Sinop University is published biannually (in May and November) in both print and electronic formats, in Turkish and English. As of 2021, the journal is indexed in TR Dizin in addition to international databases. Authors are required to comply with the article template specified by the editorial board and the journal's formatting guidelines. The journal prioritizes the publication of original research articles in the field of Social Sciences, and graduate-level academic works are also considered for evaluation. Articles requiring Ethics Committee approval must include an Ethics Report.
Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial pre-screening by the editor and are then subjected to review by at least two peer reviewers. Articles must be written in accordance with the journal's writing guidelines (APA), and should not contain the author's name or email address. Peer review suggestions made by authors regarding their manuscripts will not be considered. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the journal’s formatting guidelines will be returned to the authors for revision before being sent to reviewers. If authors fail to meet the deadlines set by the editors for revisions, the editorial board reserves the right to terminate the evaluation process. Manuscript submissions are screened for plagiarism using the IThenticate plagiarism detection software.
