Sinop University Social Sciences Journal is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually (May and November) in Turkish and English.
The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, book reviews, and other scholarly contributions that fall within its aims and scope.
Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the journal's current manuscript template and in accordance with the APA 7th Edition citation and referencing style.
Where applicable, manuscripts involving human participants, animals, or other studies requiring ethical approval must include information regarding Ethics Committee Approval, including the name of the committee, approval date, and approval number.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope and compliance with the submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers.
To preserve the integrity of the double-blind review process, authors must ensure that the manuscript file does not contain any information that could reveal their identity.
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's submission guidelines or formatting requirements may be returned to the authors for technical revision before entering the peer review process.
All submissions are screened using iThenticate or equivalent similarity detection software. Similarity reports are evaluated by the Editorial Board by considering the nature and context of textual overlap in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers' recommendations and the journal's editorial policies.
