The Turkish History Education Journal site and its metadata are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial 4.0 International License. Since its first issue published in 2012, the Turkish History Education Journal has started to publish all academic articles under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. This license grants the right of third parties to reuse article content for non-commercial purposes. However, for commercial users or commercial use, permission must be obtained from the Turkish History Education Journal. The CC BY-NC license is embedded in published articles. The full texts of all articles published in the Turkish History Education Journal can be accessed via our archive page, free of charge, by open-access viewing.

Ethical Committee Approval
With the decision of ULAKBİM on February 25th, 2020, there is a condition that "All the disciplines of science (including social sciences), there should be an Ethical Committee Approval for research involving human and animal (clinical and experimental) separately and this approval must be mentioned in the article and it should be documented". The research conducted by quantitative or qualitative approaches which require data collection such as questionnaire, interview, observation, focus group study, the experiment is regarded under the aforementioned content.
