tarihyazımı (Historiography) is an international, academic, double-blind peer-reviewed, non-profit, and open-access journal dedicated to advancing the field of historiography by publishing research, review, critique, and translation articles. The journal features scholarly works encompassing historiography, historical writing, historical methodology, history education, historical sociology, historical literature, philosophy of history, theory of history, and the politics of history.

Publication Frequency
Prior to 2026, tarihyazımı was published biannually. As of 2026, the journal has adopted a "Continuous Publication Model." Under this model, articles submitted for publication are published immediately following the successful completion of the academic evaluation and peer-review processes.

Ethical Committee Approval

With the decision of ULAKBİM on February 25th, 2020, there is a condition that "All the disciplines of science (including social sciences), there should be an Ethical Committee Approval for research involving human and animal (clinical and experimental) separately and this approval must be mentioned in the article and it should be documented". The research conducted by quantitative or qualitative approaches which require data collection such as questionnaire, interview, observation, focus group study, the experiment is regarded under the aforementioned content.
