Open Access Policy

Aiming to support the idea of accessing information most efficiently, TUHED supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative signed on 12 September 2012. Policies adopted by TUHED can be found at http://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/boai-10-recommendations.

The Budapest Open Access Initiative defines the concept of “open access” [co-ratings] as “…free accessibility on the public internet that allows any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts Indexing of these articles to be scanned for data, transferred to software, or used for any other legal purpose, without financial, legal or technical barriers other than those inseparable from access to the Internet itself. The only restriction on reproduction and distribution, and the sole role of copyright in this field, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly recognized and cited.” Open access policies promise great potential for researchers and readers, considering information/information sharing in the dissemination of scientific developments. Based on this point of view, TUHED invites its readers to freely access and use their published works by citing their sources and authors. Readers do not need permission from the authors or publisher.
