About

The Turkish Research Journal of Academic Social Science (TURAJAS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that publishes original and high-quality scholarly studies in the fields of social sciences and humanities.

Established in 2018, TURAJAS aims to support the production, advancement, and dissemination of scientific knowledge within national and international academic communities. The journal provides an interdisciplinary publication platform that promotes scholarly communication among researchers from different disciplines and welcomes theoretical, methodological, and applied research.

As of 2026, TURAJAS is published online three times a year, in April, August, and December. The publication languages of the journal are English, Turkish and Arabic.

TURAJAS considers original research articles and review articles, as well as other types of scholarly works specified in the journal's publication policies and author guidelines. Research articles submitted to the journal undergo an initial editorial assessment and, if found suitable, are evaluated by independent experts in the relevant field through a double-blind peer-review process.

TURAJAS is committed to the principles of academic integrity, research and publication ethics, editorial independence, impartiality, transparency, and scientific quality in scholarly publishing.

TURAJAS is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely accessible immediately upon publication without subscription, registration, or embargo. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

Authors retain the copyright to their published works. Authors grant TURAJAS a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, make electronically available, and archive their works.

TURAJAS does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, publication fees, page charges, or any other fees for manuscript submission, peer review, or publication.

Dear Authors,
According to the February 25, 2020 dated ULAKBIM decision, all kinds of researches conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques, and the use of humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes require an Ethics Committee certificate.

The ethics committee approvals obtained in accordance with the “publication policy” of the articles submitted to the Turkish Academic Social Sciences Research Journal must be specified in the METHOD section of the article and uploaded to the system. Publications with plagiarism report over 20% and studies without ethics committee approval will not be evaluated for publication in our journal.
