Born in Izmir in 1988, Dr Onur TÜTÜNCÜ completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Izmir. During this period, he continued his football life, which he started in Izmir, in different football clubs during his university education. In 2011, he graduated from Muğla University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Football Coaching Education Department as an honours student and in 2012, he started his Master's degree in Movement and Training Science at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Sports Sciences. In 2013, he was in England and had the opportunity to closely follow the training content of many English clubs. In the same years, he obtained his second Master's Degree in Sports Psychology from Ege University because of the importance he attached to communication between coaches and athletes. In 2022, he was awarded a doctorate from Ege University for his dissertation, which analysed around half a million corners in football. He works as a post-doctoral researcher at the German Sport University Cologne, which is considered one of the best universities in the world in this field. He has scientific publications in international journals and has been a speaker at many congresses. In his coaching career, which he began after completing his studies, he has worked in many different departments of professional clubs. He contributed to Bucaspor's league championship in the 2020-2021 season as assistant coach, match and performance analyst in Bucaspor 1928 Football Team.
He continues to work as a good football strategist and training guru.
