ÖĞRETİM ELEMANLARININ EVLİLİK UYUMU VE YAŞAM DOYUMLARININ İŞ DEĞİŞKENLERİ İLE İLİŞKİSİ

Öz

Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretim elemanlarının evlilik uyumu, yaşam doyumlarının iş değişkenleri ile ilişkisinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma, öğretim elemanlarının cinsiyet, akademik unvan, çalışma yılı ve girdiği ders saati değişkenine göre evlilik uyumu ve yaşam doyumlarının karşılaştırıldığı betimsel bir çalışmadır. Çalışma grubunu, çeşitli fakültelerde görev yapan 40’ı kadın, 79’u erkek olmak üzere toplam 119 evli ve gönüllü olan öğretim elemanı oluşturmuştur. Veriler, Evlilik Uyum Ölçeği ve Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeğinden elde edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, öğretim elemanlarının evlilik uyumu ile yaşam doyumları arasındaki ilişkinin anlamlı olduğunu göstermiştir. Öğretim elemanlarının cinsiyet değişkeni açısından evlilik uyumu ve yaşam doyumlarında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı saptanmıştır. Akademik unvana göre öğretim elemanlarının evlilik uyumunda anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken, yaşam doyumlarında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Profesörlerin yaşam doyumları araştırma görevlilerinden daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada öğretim elemanlarının çalışma yılına göre evlilik uyumları ve yaşam doyumları arasında bir fark bulunmamıştır. Yaşam doyumu ve evlilik uyumunun öğretim elemanın girdiği ders saatine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklı olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The Relationship between Job Variables of Life Satisfaction and Marital Satisfaction of Lecturers

Öz

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the job variables of life satisfaction and marital satisfaction of lecturers. It is descriptive study comparing the marital satisfaction and life satisfaction in terms of gender, academic status, working year and working hours. The sample of the study consisted of voluntary and married 119 lecturers 40 female, 79 male . Data collection instruments were Marital Adjustment Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale. In terms of gender variable, it was found that there was no difference between marital adjustment and life satisfaction. However in terms of academic status of lecturers, while there was no difference in marital adjustment, there was a quite difference in life satisfaction. In this research, life satisfaction of professors was seen to be higher than the assistances. In addition, there was no difference between marital adjustment and life satisfaction of lecturers in terms of working years. On the other hand, there is a meaningful difference in terms of working hours
