Öğretmen Adaylarının Ders İmecesi (Lesson Study) Kapsamında Matematiksel Fark Etmelerinin Niteliği

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının ders imecesi mesleki gelişim modeli uygulaması kapsamında öğrencilerin matematiksel düşünmelerine yönelik ne fark ettiklerini ve nasıl fark ettiklerini araştırmaktır. Bu doğrultuda, ders imecesi modelinin temel üç adımı olan planlama, dersin öğretimi ve tartışma aşamalarının her birinde öğretmen adaylarının matematiksel fark etme becerileri analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma, özel durum çalışması niteliğinde olup çalışma grubunu ilköğretim matematik öğretmenliği programının son sınıfında öğrenim gören dört öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmen adayları, “Çokgenlerin çevre uzunluklarını hesaplar, verilen çevre uzunluğuna sahip farklı şekiller oluşturur.” şeklindeki kazanıma yönelik öğretimi nasıl yapacaklarını ders imecesi modeli kapsamında araştırmıştır. Süreç, ders imecesi mesleki gelişim modelinin adımlarına uygun bir şekilde yürütülmüş ve tüm adımlar video ile kayıt altına alınmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri toplama araçlarını video kayıtlardan elde edilen transkriptler, gözlem sırasında tutulan notlar, mülakatlar ve öğrencilerin yazılı dökümanları oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi kullanılmış ve Choy tarafından anlamlı matematiksel fark etmeyi ortaya koymak için önerilen kategoriler göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının ders imecesinin farklı aşamalarında matematiksel fark etmelerinin çeşitlilik gösterdiği, genel olarak bireysel anlamlı matematiksel fark etmelerinin zayıf olduğu ve ders imecesinin anlamlı matematiksel fark etmelerin zenginleşmesine katkıda bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra, öğretmen adaylarının matematiksel olarak önemli olan üç noktadan, kilit ve zor noktaları fark etme becerilerinin iyi olduğu fakat zor noktaların nedenlerini yorumlamakta sıkıntı yaşadıkları ve kritik noktayı belirmede ise diğer noktalardaki kadar fark etme becerilerinin iyi olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
