Öz
Objectives: In this study our aim is to compare effects of two different catheters used in our clinic on pregnancy results Material-method: Eighty - six patients, ICSI applied and swemed or wallece catheters used during embryo transfer, were admitted to our hospital IVF center from february 2004 through 2006.SPSS was used for statistical analysis. Results: This research was conducted on 86 cases whose ages were between 21 and 37old. Wallace catheter applied 45 patients described as group 1, the other 41 patients were described as group 2. There was no statistical significance according to etiologies. From the view of clinical pregnacy outcomes and implantations there were no statistical significance between groups. Conclusion: Modern soft catheters have good effects on pregnancy outcomes in reproductive asisted teqniques. That's why selecting catheter during embryo transfer based on mostly operator choises and economic causes.

Öz
Amaç: Kliniğimizde kullanılan farklı tipteki 2 kateterin gebelik sonuçları üzerine etkisini değerlendirmeyi amaçladık. Materyal Metod: Şubat 2005 ve Şubat 2006 tarihleri arasında hastanesi tüp bebek Merkezinde ICSI uygulanan ve ET sırasında ya wallece ya da swemed kateter kullanılan 86 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. İstatistiksel analizler için SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 10.0 programı kullanıldı. Bulgular: Çalışma, yaşları 21 ile 37 arasında değişmekte olan, toplam 86 olgu üzerinde yapılmaktadır. "Wallace" kateteri uygulanan 45 olgu "Grup I", ve "Swemed" kateteri uygulanan 41 olgu "Grup II" olarak tanımlanmıştır. Etyolojiye göre gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamaktadır (p>0.05). Gruplar arasında implantasyon ve klinik gebelik oranları açısından istatiksel anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır. Sonuç: Yumuşak modern embryo kateterleri yardımla üreme tekniklerinde gebelik sonuçları üzerinde olumlu etkiye sahiptirler bu yüzden embriyo transfer kateterinin seçimi, çoğu kez operatörlerin tercihi ve ekonomik nedenlere dayanmaktadır.
