The views of postgraduate students regarding their education are important in terms of reviewing and revising postgraduate programmes, which are also responsible for training academic candidates who will teach undergraduate students. Therefore, the main objective of the research is to reveal the aims of postgraduate students studying social sciences teaching, their experiences during this process, and their suggestions. The study was designed and conducted according to qualitative research methodology principles. The participants of the research consisted of a total of 16 postgraduate students who had completed their coursework, including 8 at the master's level and 8 at the doctoral level, selected using the criterion sampling technique, one of the purposive sampling techniques. Semi-structured interviews were used as the data collection tool in the study, and the data obtained were evaluated using content analysis techniques When examining the participants' objectives for pursuing postgraduate education, academic goals such as professional development, improving research skills, and advancing their careers were highlighted. Participants stated that during their postgraduate education, they acquired skills such as learning and applying scientific research methods and techniques, preparing scientific publications, and preparing projects in line with the stages of scientific research. When examining the participants' suggestions regarding postgraduate education, they mainly recommended that, in addition to courses on scientific research methods and techniques, courses that would facilitate the article and thesis writing processes and appeal to their areas of interest should also be offered. It is expected that the findings of this study will serve as a report that postgraduate education programme developers can refer to when preparing programmes and that will give postgraduate education candidates an idea about this level of education.
