I have been an Associate Professor in Department of Computer Education & Instructional Technology at Osmangazi University, Eskisehir-Turkey. My research interest is educational technology. I received both my B.S and M.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. I have a PhD degree in Distance Education Program of Social Sciences Institute of Anadolu University. My professional career has been a mixture of national and international jobs in various areas, which greatly enriched my knowledge and experience about Information Technology especially in the field of distance education. I also give lessons about programming languages, computer networks, operating systems, learning management systems, educational software development, and information and communication technologies in education as an instructor. Throughout my professional career I always worked in ICT, web based application development and development of open and distance learning environments both in my national as well as international projects. I have been involved in many private and corporate education projects. Especially in my projects I always build web-based learning environments. More than 15 years’ experience in IT field and projects improved my problem solving, multitasking capabilities. I have been working on Sakai since 2007 regarding of localization and integration with Kaltura, BBB and other open source projects. My research interests mainly focus on personalized learning systems, building distance education infrastructures, artificial intelligence in distance education, learning management systems and open-source software projects in education.
