Aim & Scope
Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology is an international peer-reviewed Journal twice a year as March and September since 2014. It aims to contribute to the social sciences primarily Islamic sciences, philosophy and Islamic history. The original research and translation articles, book reviews and various review texts are published in our journal. The publication language of our journal is Turkish, but also in other languages such as Arabic, German and English.
The articles submitted to our journal are firstly reviewed by the editor in terms of compliance with the journal policy and form requirements and plagiarism. As a result of the preliminary review, the studies that are deemed appropriate are subject to double-blind referee process. For the articles completed the arbitration process and approved by referee, are published with an extended 750 words Turkish and English summaries. There is no charge for submission, review and online access of the publication.
Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology is published as printed and online twice a year on 15 March and on 15 September. Articles are accepted between 15 September and 01 January for the issue of 15 March and between 15 March and 01 July for the issue of 15 September.
Journal of Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology has adopted the decisions taken at the Editorial Workshop II for the Theology Journal, held on 19/01/2019.
In our journal it can be published academic articles produced in the following areas:
Basic Islamic Sciences
Tafsir, Hadith, Kalam, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Literature
Philosophy and Religious Studies
Islamic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, Logic
Islamic History and Arts
History of Islam, History of Islamic Arts, Turkish-Islamic Literature, Religious Music
Religious and Moral Education
Writing Rules
The articles submitted to the Journal of Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology must be prepared according to the following points:
1. PhD students, as a single author; graduate students with the supervisor –first author student; second author supervisor- can send their work to Journal of Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology.
2. In the case of book review only the studies which written by someone who has doctorate degree are examined.
3. Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Eskişehir Osmangazi University is published as printed and online twice a year on 15 March and on 15 September. Articles are accepted between 15 September and 01 January for the issue of 15 March and between 15 March and 01 July for the issue of 15 September.
4. In the first page of study sent to Journal of the Faculty of Theology of Eskişehir Osmangazi University, there must be author’s name, institution name, ORCID and a phone number suitable to ISNAD Citation Style.
5. For the articles and translation studies, the upper limit are 7.500 words, for other studies, the limit is 1500. Permission letter/mail which taken from author of translation articles should be added.
5. During submission, 100-150 words Turkish and English abstract and at least 5 Turkish and English keywords should be written. For the articles which approved by referee, a 750 words Turkish and English extended summaries are required.

9. Copyrights of the articles which sent and accepted to publish is deemed to transfer Journal of Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Theology.
10. Scientific, intellectual and literary responsibilities of published articles belong to their author.
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Dergisi, ilmî bir çalışmanın oluşturulma ve yayınlanma süreçlerinde yazar, okuyucu, araştırmacı, dergi editörü, hakem ve yayımcı kuruluşların da sorumlu oldukları bazı etik kuralların dikkate alınmasını istemektedir. Bu kurallar sırasıyla şöyledir:
Yazarlar:
1. Gönderilen yazılar özgün ve bilimsel nitelikte olmalıdır.
2. Gönderilen yazılar akademik alanlara katkı sağlayacak özellikte olmalıdır, bu konudaki sorumluluk yazara aittir.
3. Gönderilen yazıların dergi tarafından intihal taraması yapılacağından yazarların bu hususta oldukça dikkatli olmaları gerekmektedir.
4. Gönderilen yazının daha önce herhangi bir yerde yayımlanmamış ve aynı anda başka bir dergiye gönderilmemiş olmalıdır.
5. Çalışmada akademik katkısı olmayan kişiler ilave yazar olarak gösterilmemelidir.
6. Yazıların atıf ve kaynakçası eksiksiz olmalıdır.
7. Yazarlar, Yükseköğretim Kurulu’nun Bilimsel Araştırma ve Yayın Etiği Yönergesini dikkate almalıdır.
Hakemler:
1. Hakemler, yazıları inceleme ve değerlendirme sürecinin öncesinde ve sonrasında gizlilik ilkesine dikkat etmelidirler.
2. Hakemler değerlendirmeyi tarafsız ve eleştirel bir şekilde yapmalıdır.
3. Hakemler değerlendirmede bulunurken sadece yazıların akademik yönden doğruluğunu dikkate almalı, yazıda ortaya koyulan düşüncenin kendisine uygun olup olmamasına bakmamalıdır.
4. Hakemler araştırmayla, yazarlarla ve/veya araştırma fon sağlayıcılar ile çıkar çatışması içerisinde olmamalıdır.
5. Hakem, raporları hazırlarken hakaret, küçümseme, şahsı hedef alan, itham içeren ifadelerden kaçınmalı, sadece metni esas alarak objektif ve ölçülü ifadeler kullanmalıdır.
6. Hakemler, değerlendirme raporlarında net ifadeler kullanmalı, olumlu ya da olumsuz neticeyi gerekçeleriyle beraber ifade etmelidir.
7. Hakemler, yazı hakkında olumsuz kanıya vardıkları ya da yazıya düzeltme verdikleri takdirde muhakkak “alternatif öneriler” sunmalıdırlar.
8. Hakemler, kendilerine tanınan süre içerisinde makaleleri değerlendirmeli, aksi bir durumda değerlendirme yapamayacaklarını, makul bir süre içerisinde dergiye bildirmelidirler.
9. Hakemlerden birisinin olumlu diğerinin olumsuz değerlendirmesi durumunda, karar editöre aittir.
Editörler:
1. Editörler bir makaleyi kabul ya da ret konusunda tüm sorumluluk ve yetkiye sahiptir.
2. Editörler, kabul ya da reddedilen makaleler ile herhangi bir çıkar çatışması içinde olmamalıdır.
3. Hakemlerin ve yazarların isimlerinin karşılıklı olarak gizli tutulması editörlerin sorumluluğudur.
4. Yayınlanmak üzere gönderilen makalelerin intihal taraması yapılması editörün sorumluluğundadır.
5. Dergiye gönderilen makalelerin ön inceleme, hakemlik, düzenleme ve yayınlama süreçlerinin vaktinde ve sağlıklı bir şekilde tamamlanması editörlerin görevidir.
6. Editörler dergiye makale kabul ederken akademik kaygı ve ölçütleri öncelemelidir.
