The Journal of Ethnomusicology is an international peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Ethnomusicology Association, a non-profit organization in Turkey.
The journal aims to publish high-quality research in the field of ethnomusicology.
Published articles include current theoretical perspectives and research in ethnomusicology and related fields.
The Journal of Ethnomusicology is published twice (2) a year. The journal's publication languages ​​are Turkish and English. The journal aims to include theoretical articles based on original research in ethnomusicology, musicology, and other related disciplines, articles from master's theses, interviews, articles on published books, and articles on music recordings.
Translations of previously published articles are not considered. Contributors are not required to be members of the association.
Articles and interviews should be in line with the journal's previously announced theme. Submissions must comply with the writing guidelines on the association's website. Submissions are reviewed using a double-blind peer review method. The editorial process for articles is as follows: Editor and editorial board
(general), technical editor (writing guidelines), reviewers (content), editor and editorial board
(final decision). Articles that do not comply with the writing guidelines may be sent back to the author for correction after review by the technical editor. The copyright of the texts published in the journal belongs to the Ethnomusicology Association. Authors are deemed to have accepted this rule when submitting their articles.
