For Reviewers

Characteristics and responsibilities of reviewers :

Reviewers should be experts who have publications and citations on the subject of the article.

It should not cause a delay that will delay the publication date of the journal and/or cause the study to become out of date. If he will not be able to evaluate the article, he should notify the journal editor of this situation at the stage of the invitation for consultancy and return the task.

If he/she has information about the people and centers that conducted the study and therefore cannot make the evaluation objectively, he/she should report this to the journal.

During the evaluation phase, he/she should read the article from beginning to end at least once, and if necessary, he/she should do a literature review to benefit from additional resources.

When he detects a problem with the statistical data of the article, he should notify the journal and suggest that the necessary statistical control and arrangement be made.

They should analyze the planning, methods, results and other scientific content of the study, and also report their comments to the journal on whether there is a requirement for patient consent, conflicts of interest, financial support and ethics committee approval.

Evaluation should be made on the form sent by the journal, but he should also add his comments about the study.

As a requirement of their responsibilities as educators and instructors, the consultants should guide the authors and avoid offensive and insulting comments.
