Social Sciences Journal of Harran University

Social Sciences Journal of Harran University  (e-ISSN: 3108-3668) is the periodical, peer-reviewed, open-access, official scientific publication organ of Harran University. Our journal, which started its publication life in 2025, has been published as free and open access to the public; and as of the 1st issue of 2026, it has also included the CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 license in all published articles. It is published twice a year, in June and December, in Turkish or English.

It is essential that the studies to be published in our journal are original, prepared using appropriate research methods and models, and have not been previously published in another venue, to the extent that they fill a gap in the relevant field. In addition to these basic research articles, critical reviews that evaluate published studies with new and noteworthy perspectives are also included.

Additionally, a wide range of academic content consisting of conceptual and theoretical discussions, unpublished conference papers, biographies, reviews contributing to the literature, scientific translations, and book reviews is accepted.

Publications are evaluated by at least two reviewers on a double-blind basis in terms of original knowledge, ideas, and presentation.

Social Sciences Journal of Harran University is an open-access journal, meaning that articles can be accessed free of charge in accordance with BOAI's definition of open access.

It adopts the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
