Abstract / Özet
• In all publication types, the first page should consist of an abstract (at most 150–250 words), abstract in the other language, and keywords.
• In research articles, the Turkish abstract (Özet) should have the subheadings “Amaç, Yöntem, Bulgular, Sonuç ve Anahtar Kelimeler”; the English abstract (Abstract) should have the subheadings “Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Keywords.”
• For review articles, the Özet and Abstract sections should reflect the content fully in a structure that implies introduction, aim, development, and conclusion.

Main Text
Original Research Article
Original research manuscripts must be on topics within the scope of the journal, present original and important scientific findings, and be complete studies of the scientific research process. Original Research articles consist of the following sections:
Introduction: In this section, the importance of the topic and the scientific foundations should be presented clearly; the research problem should be explained in relation to current studies; the gap in knowledge the study addresses should be detailed. Then the aim of the research, hypotheses, or research questions should be presented.
Methods: This section should include the type of research, the place it was conducted, the population and sample, data collection techniques and tools, data evaluation methods, and ethical aspects.
Results: The results should be presented systematically, with statistical data, in a way that tests research hypotheses or answers research questions. Information in figures and tables should not be repeated unless necessary. This section should contain only analysis results.
Discussion: In this section, findings should be evaluated and presented systematically. Which research questions or hypotheses are supported or not supported should be explained with justification. The limitations and weaknesses of the study should be addressed.
Conclusion: The importance of the topic should be briefly emphasized; without repetition, the new information or contribution obtained from findings should be summarized and recommendations for future research presented.
References: All sources used must be prepared according to the American Psychological Association (APA) 6 style (http://www.tk.org.tr/APA/apa_2.pdf) and listed in alphabetical order on a separate page at the end of the text.
Tables: Tables should be double-spaced and vertical lines should not be used to separate columns. All abbreviations and p-value symbols (*, **) and other symbols should be defined in footnotes. Each table should appear on a separate page after the references.
Meta-analysis and Systematic Review
Meta-analysis and systematic review manuscripts must be prepared according to the PRISMA Statement (PRISMA Statement: Checklist of items to include when reporting a systematic review or meta-analysis) (www.prisma-statement.org), and include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
Review
Review manuscripts, preferably written by experts with background and publications in the field, discuss current and need-oriented topics using up-to-date national and international sources, and express authors’ views. Their sections are: Introduction, Subject Subheadings, and References.
Case Report
These are studies containing cases with clinical importance and scientific contribution. Case report manuscripts include sections: Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, References, and if necessary tables. Informed consent should be obtained and stated in the main text.

For experimental, clinical, and drug research, an ethics committee report consistent with relevant international agreements is required. All research submitted for publication must comply with the Helsinki Declaration / Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (Helsinki Declaration of 1975, revised 2008 – http://www.wma.net/en/30publications/10policies/b3/index.html, “Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals” – www.nap.edu/catalog/5140.html). In submitted research, it should be stated that informed consent was obtained from participants. For individuals unable to decide (children, comatose patients, etc.), informed consent should be obtained from their first-degree responsible persons. If any financial support was provided for submitted research, authors must explain whether there is a conflict of interest with the supporting institutions and, if so, what the relationship is. The responsibility for the ethical, scientific, and legal compliance of the manuscripts lies with the authors.
All authors must sign collectively, declaring their scientific contributions, proportions, and relevant responsibilities; and also declaring no conflict of interest. Any cash or in-kind support, even if partial, by which institution, organization, or equipment/manufacturing company must be reported as a footnote. (ICMJE Potential Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form)
Manuscript formats must be arranged according to ICMJE – Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (updated December 2016 – http://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf).
Original Research and Review submissions must be prepared according to study reporting guidelines: CONSORT for randomized trials, STROBE for observational studies, STARD for diagnostic accuracy studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, ARRIVE for animal experiments, TREND for non-randomized behavioral and public health intervention studies.
Author Responsibility
Statements and opinions expressed in Nephrology Nursing Journal are the responsibility of the author(s). The responsibility for the scientific language of the manuscript and compliance with the ethical requirements of the research lies with the authors. The author team must consider standard guideline checklists appropriate to research methods and present the manuscript in a flow consistent with them (such as CONSORT for randomized controlled trials, PRISMA for systematic review and meta-analysis). The revised main manuscript must meet all conditions indicated at first submission and present essential sections, headings, and information in references without violating the anonymity principle by revealing author and institution names.
By submitting the manuscript, the author(s) agree that the Editorial Board of the Nephrology Nursing Journal may request necessary changes or make acceptable changes without altering content. Authors whose manuscripts require revisions based on reviewers’ comments are responsible for uploading a single Microsoft Word document containing all changes highlighted in red and underlined within two weeks. During upload of the revised manuscript, a note titled “Information to Editor and Reviewers” containing detailed explanations of the changes must also be submitted.
STATISTICAL METHODS
• All research articles should be evaluated in terms of biostatistics, and the appropriate design, analysis, and reporting must be specified. The last subsection of the METHODS section should be “Statistical Analysis.”
• In this subsection, the statistical methods used in the study should be described with their purpose; the statistical software and versions used for analysis should be stated.
• p values should be given to three decimal places (e.g., p = 0.038; p = 0.810, etc.).
• Additional information for checking manuscripts for biostatistical adequacy can be obtained from www.icmje.org.
