Budizm’in Misyon Anlayışının Temelleri

Abstract

Budizm misyoner bir dindir. Onun misyon anlayışı, Buda tarafından belirlenmiş, ondan sonraki misyon faaliyetleri de Buda’nın uygulamaları doğrultusunda gerçekleşmiştir. Budizm’in misyon faaliyetleri başlangıçta Hindistan ile sınırlı kalmış, uzun bir bekleyiş ve gelişim sürecinden sonra Hindistan dışına çıkmıştır. Keşişlerin yoğun gayretleri sayesinde önemli başarılar elde eden Budizm, gittiği ülkelerde dini, siyasi ve sosyal yapıyı derinden etkilemiştir. Kapsayıcı bir yaklaşımı benimseyen Budizm, karşılaştığı dinleri bünyesine katarak büyümüştür. Bu yaklaşımı sebebiyle, miladi bin yılına gelindiğinde, Asya’nın birçok ülkesine yayılmış bir din haline gelmiştir. Bu özellikleri nedeniyle bu çalışmada, Budizm’in misyon anlayışı ele alınmıştır. Çalışma, Budizm’in öğretileri, ortaya çıkışı ve misyon anlayışı olmak üzere üç bölüme ayrılmış; sonuç olarak devlet yöneticilerine hitap, esnek öğreti ve manastır hayatının Budizm’in misyon anlayışının temellerini oluşturduğu düşüncesine varılmıştır.

Fundamentals of Buddhism's Understanding of Mission.

Abstract

Buddhism is a missionary religion. Its understanding of mission was determined by Buddha, and subsequent mission activities were realized in line with Buddha's practices. The mission activities of Buddhism were initially limited to India, after a long wait and development period, it went out of India. Buddhism, which achieved significant success thanks to the intense efforts of the monks, deeply affected the religious, political and social structure of the countries it went to. Adopting an inclusive approach, Buddhism grew by incorporating the religions it encountered. Due to this approach, it has become a religion that has spread to many countries of Asia by the millennium AD. Because of these features, the mission understanding of Buddhism is discussed in this study. The study is divided into three parts as the teachings of Buddhism, its emergence and the understanding of mission; As a result, it has been concluded that addressing state administrators, flexible teaching and monastic life constitute the fundamentals of the mission understanding of Buddhism
