The publication policy of IBAD Journal of Social Sciences is determined by the Journal's Editorial Board. The primary criteria for evaluating submitted manuscripts are academic impartiality and scientific quality. IBAD Journal of Social Sciences employs a double-blind peer review method. Each manuscript that successfully completes the review process is assigned a DOI number. It may be published in early view on the journal’s website with an assigned issue and page number. All processes are conducted transparently.
Furthermore, authors:
a) Confirm that the submitted article is their original work and does not contain plagiarism,
b) Confirm that all authors have individually contributed to the work and take full responsibility for it,
c) Confirm that all authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the submitted article,
d) Confirm that the article has not been published elsewhere nor is under consideration for publication elsewhere,
e) Confirm that the text, figures, and documents in the article do not infringe on any third-party copyrights.
f) The authors acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any claims or legal actions arising from copyright infringement by third parties, affirming that the Publisher and Journal Editors bear no liability in such cases.
g) The authors confirm and guarantee that the manuscript contains no illegal statements or elements of criminal offense and that no unlawful materials or methods were used during the research process.

Corresponding Authorship
The Corresponding Author acts on behalf of all authors and ensures that questions regarding the accuracy and integrity of the work are properly addressed. Responsibilities include confirming that all authors approve the manuscript, including author names and order; managing communication between the journal and all authors from submission to publication; ensuring transparency regarding the reuse of materials; declaring unpublished content when necessary; and incorporating all authors’ disclosures, declarations, and data transparency statements into the manuscript.
Author Contributions
To enhance transparency, the journal requires that author contribution statements be included in the manuscript. Each author’s contributions should be clearly stated and may be detailed or general, depending on the field. These statements are published alongside the article. The journal allows acknowledgment of equal contributions or co-leadership by a group of authors. Any other equal contributions should be explained in the contribution statement. A maximum of ten authors are allowed for an article submitted to the journal.
Author Changes
Authors must ensure that the author group, corresponding author, and author order are correct at the time of manuscript submission. Any addition, removal, or reordering of authors after submission is only permitted with the consent of all authors. After the manuscript has been accepted, adding or removing authors, changing the corresponding author, or altering the author order is strictly not allowed. All author names must be accurate, and affiliation details must be up to date, as the manuscript will be published as submitted. Adding or removing authors during the revision stage is generally not permitted; however, the Editor-in-Chief may consider exceptions if a valid justification is provided. Each author’s primary affiliation should correspond to the institution where the majority of the work was conducted. If an author has since changed institutions, the current address may be indicated additionally. No affiliation updates are allowed after publication.
Author Affiliation
All authors should indicate their current institutional affiliation as well as the institution where most of the research presented in the article was conducted. We recommend listing as the primary affiliation the institution where the majority of the research work or support was provided. It is very important that author names and affiliations are accurate. Incorrect information may lead to missing or incorrect citations and could even cause issues related to recognition or funding. After an article is published, updates or corrections to an author’s address or institutional information may not be permitted.
Independent Researcher
If one or more authors are not currently affiliated with a university, institution, or company, they should identify themselves as Independent Researchers.
Authorship Disputes and Other Issues
The journal is not responsible for investigating or resolving authorship disputes arising during peer review, acceptance, or after publication. Authors are responsible for resolving such disputes among themselves. If unresolved, the journal reserves the right to withdraw the manuscript from the publication process or, in the case of published articles, to contact the authors’ institutions and follow institutional guidelines. If an author dies or becomes unable to participate during writing, submission, or peer review, other authors may retain them on the author list with approval from the legal representative (e.g., a close relative). Additionally, authors must keep all correspondence with the journal and peer review reports confidential and only share them with third parties if explicit permission is granted.
Comprehensive Language Editing
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts — including the title, abstract, keywords, and main text — are written in correct English or Turkish. The Editorial Board only performs minor language and expression edits. If a manuscript requires extensive language editing, it may be returned to the author during the language editing stage of the publication process. This may cause a delay in the publication of the paper. Authors are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a colleague who is proficient in the language of the paper or to use a professional paid language editing service.
Please do not resubmit your manuscript to the journal while it is still under review. In cases of duplicate submissions, only the first version will be taken into consideration. Master’s students or graduates are also welcome to submit articles; however, we place particular importance on their co-authoring with an academic who holds at least a doctoral degree.
