Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering Research (JSTER), an international, OPEN ACCESS, REFEREED, online journal, provides original research articles and effective communication covering all areas of science, engineering and technology. The primary mission of the journal is to be the leading source of high quality research from all over the world.
Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering Research (JSTER),
Publishes articles emphasizing research, development and application in science, technology and engineering. All articles are pre-reviewed by an editorial review committee. Contributions must be original, not previously or concurrently published elsewhere, and critically reviewed prior to publication. Articles must be written in English or Turkish, have solid grammar and appropriate terminology.
Contains theoretical and experimental studies and perspective research in the fields of understanding and scientific research of technological projects and engineering applications.
The editorial publication process is carried out under the coordination of the Editorial Board and Scientific Referees.
JSTER publishes the most recent theoretical and experimental studies concerning scientific fields of the technological projects and engineering applications focusing but not limiting on:
Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering Research (JSTER) has a bilingual publication policy, with Turkish and English as the publication languages.
For articles accepted for publication by the Editor assigned to the article, the editor, referees or language editor may suggest corrections to the writing of the article to the Author(s) during the evaluation process of the articles. It is the responsibility of the authors to make these corrections.
Each author submitting an article must have an ORCID number. To obtain a free Orcid number, please visit https://orcid.org/signin.
1- Article Template
Abstract: The novelty and main findings of the study should be emphasized in the abstract. Turkish and English abstracts should be written in Times New Roman font, Italic, 10 point size. It should be noted that the article abstract should be at least 150 and at most 300 words. Turkish and English abstracts should not exceed 1 page each.
*** An English Abstract Page should be prepared for articles in Turkish. The template for the English Abstract is located on the first page of the Turkish article template.
The number of keywords should be at least 3 and at most 5.
Main Text: Times New Roman font and 11 point size should be selected in the main text. Single line spacing should be selected in the writing of the abstract.
A line space should be added between paragraphs.
IMPORTANT!: ARTICLES MUST BE UPLOADED BY DELETING THE AUTHOR NAMES AND INFORMATION AT THE SUBMITTING STAGE.

2- Reference Format
APA format should be selected as the reference format. APA Example:

In-Text Citations must be in IEEE citation format, indicated by a number enclosed in square brackets, such as [1] or [2, 3], and this number corresponds to the numbered reference list at the end of the document.
3- Author Copyright Form
All authors must sign, scan and upload the copyright form to the system at the article submission stage. Even if the article is accepted, the publication process of the article will not be initiated unless the Copyright Form is uploaded to the system with all authors signing it.

4- Similarity Rate (plagiarism check)
The article file to be sent to JSTER by the authors must be scanned for plagiarism (similarity) using similarity scanning programs and the similarity rate result must be uploaded to the system in PDF format with the phrase "Similarity Report".
Plagiarism scanning must be performed by excluding "quotations, text sections with less than 5 words of overlap and bibliography". The similarity rate in the detailed report obtained as a result of the similarity scan must be at most 15% or less. In addition, the similarity rate from the same work must never exceed 3%. Articles above this rate will be evaluated after achieving a similarity below 15%.
5- Referee Suggestion Form
Two referees from the author's own country and, if possible, two referees from foreign countries should be proposed.

JOURNAL PUBLICATION POLICY GENERAL INFORMATION
JSTER aims to contribute to scientific and technological development in the field of engineering by publishing studies in the fields of basic sciences, technology and engineering research within the framework of its journal publication policy. It publishes articles and compilations in Turkish and English. The journal is published twice a year in June and December.
Publication Ethics Statement:
For all parties involved in the process of publishing (authors, Editorial Board, and reviewers), it is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior.
ETHICS COMMITTEE APPROVAL
Please send your submitted articles by organizing them according to the following items.
Our authors are required to obtain the relevant documents for their studies requiring ethics committee approval and upload them to the system together with their studies.
The name of the committee, date and issue number will be stated in the method section of the article and in the ethics committee approval section on the last page of the article. Researchers who are not university members can also apply to the Ethics Committees in their region.
1. “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for all kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques.
2. It must be stated in the articles whether ethics committee permission and/or legal/special permission is required. If these permissions are required, it must be clearly stated from which institution, on which date and with which decision or issue number the permission was obtained.
3. “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for research using humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes.
4. If the study requires the use of human or animal subjects, it must be declared that the study was conducted in accordance with international declarations, guidelines, etc.
5. “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for clinical research conducted on humans and research conducted on animals.
6. According to the law on the protection of personal data, “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for retrospective studies.
ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES
JSTER Journal, as a journal aware of the fact that information must be easily accessible for scientific studies to advance, supports the initiative of open access of peer-reviewed journal literature in the Budapest Open Access Declaration and offers all published articles free of charge in an environment where everyone can read and download them.
Peer-reviewed articles are studies that ensure the application of the scientific method and impartiality. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an important building block in the development of a consistent and respected information network. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the author and the institutions that support them. In the realization of scientific production, all components of the publication process; publisher, editors, authors, referees and readers must comply with ethical principles.
Ethical issues to consider in publishing:
• Authorship of the article: Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, conduct or interpretation of the reported study. Transparency about author contributions is documented in the Copyright and Author Agreement.
• Originality and plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written completely original work and that when authors use the work and/or words of others, it is properly cited or quoted.
• Authors may be asked to provide raw data associated with an article for editorial review and should be prepared to provide access to such data.
• Multiple or simultaneous publications: An author should generally not publish papers describing the same research in more than one journal or primary publication.
• Disclosure and conflicts of interest: All submissions must include a disclosure of any relationships that could be considered a potential conflict of interest.
• Fundamental errors in published work: When an author finds a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, they have the obligation to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and to contact the editor to retract or correct the article.
• Human or animal rights: Ensure that all studies involving human or animal subjects comply with national and international laws and guidelines, confirm that necessary approvals have been obtained, and respect subject confidentiality.
• Authors must ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of the participants while collecting, analyzing, and reporting data. Authors must ensure that all participants in their study have given informed consent for publication.
• To objectively review the article in a timely manner to contribute to the editor's decision-making process and agree to only evaluate studies related to their field of expertise.
To conduct the evaluation objectively and solely on the content of the study.
To provide guidance that will help improve the quality of the article to be published and to review the study meticulously. To convey their comments to the author in a constructive and polite manner.
• To protect the confidentiality of information provided by the editor and author, to destroy the work reviewed after the evaluation process in accordance with the principle of confidentiality, to notify the editor if there is a situation contrary to blind refereeing and not to evaluate the work.
Editors' Ethical Responsibilities
• To act in a balanced, objective and fair manner in the performance of their duties without discrimination based on gender, religious or political beliefs, or the ethnic or geographical origins of the authors.
• To evaluate the studies submitted to the journal according to their content, not to show any privilege to any author.
• To take the necessary measures to prevent possible conflicts of interest and to evaluate the existing statements, if any.
• In the event of a complaint of ethical violation, to implement the necessary procedures in accordance with the policies and procedures of the journal. To give the authors an opportunity to respond to the complaint, not to hesitate to apply the necessary sanctions regardless of the author of the study.
• To reject the submitted study if it does not comply with the purpose and scope of the journal.
All articles in the "Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering Research -JSTER" (e-ISSN: 2717-8404) are published with an open access model.
If requested during article submission to the journal, the Article Processing Charge (APC) is waived for articles whose authors are master's or doctoral students and for articles selected through editorial pre-evaluation.
