Kocaeli Journal of Science and Engineering (KOJOSE) publishes research and review papers written in English.
The research paper is an article reflecting the findings and results of original research, while the review paper is an article compiling an adequate number of articles, summarizing the present level of science or technology, and making an evaluation as well as a comparison of the findings of these articles.
Manuscripts should be submitted by one of the authors through the online submission system. The submitting (corresponding) author is responsible for the manuscript during submission and peer review processes.
The names of all authors should be entered into the system during the first submission. The names, ORCID numbers, and affiliations of all authors should also be indicated on the first page of the submitted manuscript.
All submissions should be accompanied by The Copyright Transfer Form containing the names of all authors and signed by the corresponding author.
Ethics approval is needed for studies on vulnerable populations, policies, confidential data, ethical business/marketing practices, clinical researches on human subjects, researches using animals, and retrospective subjects. Ethics committee approval should be stated together with the board name, date, and number in both the “Method” section of the manuscript as well as its last page. When submitting the manuscript, the Ethics Committee Approval file must also be uploaded onto the system.
Written permission must be obtained from the owners of other Copyright holders for the use of their materials such as photographs, figures, tables, etc.
All manuscripts submitted to KOJOSE are first assessed by the Editor to find out their suitability for the Journal. Suitable manuscripts are then scanned by the similarity software as described in the Anti-Plagiarism Policy section of the journal website. Appropriate manuscripts are sent to at least two expert reviewers to assess the scientific level of the paper. KOJOSE adopts a single-blind review system in which the reviewers’ identities remain anonymous to the authors. Manuscripts are expected to meet certain standards of scientific excellence to get published in the Journal.
Manuscript Submission Format
