ORCID Number

It is widely acknowledged that the use of unique researcher identification numbers has become increasingly important in order to prevent potential ambiguities arising from similarities in names or institutional affiliations among researchers, scientists, and academicians in scholarly publications. In this context, as a result of the collaboration among TÜBİTAK, ULAKBİM, and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the adoption and integration of ORCID information have been formally endorsed.

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a 16-digit numeric identifier, presented in the form of a URL, and is fully compliant with the ISO 27729 standard, also known as the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI).

Researchers may obtain an individual ORCID number free of charge by registering at http://orcid.org.

In order for a manuscript to be considered for publication in our journal, it is mandatory that all contributing authors possess an ORCID number and that this information is clearly indicated in the submission application.
