Design+Theory is the journal of the Faculty of Architecture at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. It is an anonymous, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes original articles, research abstracts, book reviews, and perspectives in the fields of architecture, urban and regional planning, interior architecture, and industrial design. It aims to encourage ideas in the defined fields and other related disciplines and to contribute to the development of the academic-professional environment. It is published twice a year, in March and September.

Guidelines for Authors
Within the scope of the Design+Theory Journal, all theoretical, applied, and critical articles written in Turkish or English are accepted for evaluation for publication in accordance with the publication principles and writing rules. It is assumed that articles submitted to the journal have not been previously published elsewhere. Design+Theory Journal does not consider it appropriate for a submitted article to undergo peer review in two journals simultaneously.If the article has been previously presented as a paper, additional explanations regarding this should be indicated in the “notes to the editor” section. For articles produced from graduate theses, the thesis supervisor's information (contact details, institution, etc.) should also be added to this section. The authors are solely responsible for articles published in Design+Theory Journal.

To ensure publication diversity, there must be at least two issues between the publication of two articles by a single author (this applies to both names in co-authored articles), and an author may publish a maximum of two articles within a two-year period.Articles submitted to the journal for evaluation are reviewed by the editorial board before undergoing the peer review process. If deemed necessary, a “editorial board evaluation report” is written, and revisions are requested for the articles. Revised articles are included in the peer review process if deemed appropriate by the Board.A total of two referees are consulted during the refereeing process. If there are significant differences in the referees' opinions regarding the acceptance of the article, the opinion of a third referee is sought. Articles not accepted for publication by the referees are returned to their authors.Authors must complete minor revisions within a maximum of 20 days and major revisions within a maximum of 60 days and upload their articles to the system. Articles not uploaded to the system within this timeframe will have their processes terminated by the Editorial Board, and the article will be returned to the author.
