Initial Evaluation Process
The editors initially review manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Turkic World Tourism Studies. At this stage, studies that do not conform to the aims and scope of the journal, are weak in language and expression, contain significant scientific errors, lack originality, and do not meet the publication policies are rejected by the editorial board. Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent to at least two reviewers for evaluation.
Reviewer Assignment Process
Manuscripts are sent to reviewers who are experts in the relevant subject according to their content. Reviewers agree in advance not to share any aspect of the process or any documents about the works they evaluate. As a principle, no reviewer is appointed from the institution where the submitting author is employed.
Reviewer Reports
Reviewer evaluations are generally based on examining the study’s originality, the methodology employed, compliance with ethical standards, the consistent presentation of findings and conclusions, and its assessment in terms of the literature.
Peer Review Process
The time allotted to reviewers for the peer review process is 20 days. Authors must complete the revisions requested by the reviewers or editors within one month in accordance with the “revision report.” Reviewers may examine the revisions to a work and decide on their adequacy, and, if they deem it necessary, may request more than one round of revisions.
