Professor Emeritus Ekrem Čaušević studied Oriental languages and literatures (Turkish, Arabic, and Persian) at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BA 1974, PhD 1986). At the same institution he was a professor of the Turkish and Ottoman languages until 1992. In 1994 he founded the Department for Turkish language and literature, which today is part of the Department of Hungarian and Turkish Languages and Literatures and Jewish Studies, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, in Croatia. He has been head of the Turkish Section since its founding and is a full professor. He has done post-doctoral study in Istanbul, Vienna, Budapest, and Sofija. As an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, he taught for two years at the University of Göttingen. From 1995 until 2011, Prof. Čaušević was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, in addition to his workload in Zagreb. He has written many scholarly articles, as well as a grammar of contemporary Turkish (1996). His research interests include the contemporary Turkish language, Turkish texts of the Ottoman period written in the Latin script, the cultural history of Ottoman Bosnia, lexicography, and literary translation.

1966 yılında Konya’da doğdu, Çumra ilçesi Arıkören köyündendir. Selçuk Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. 1992-1996 yılları arasında Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’nda öğretmen ve yönetici olarak çalıştı. 1996-2004 yılarında Gazi Üniversitesi Kastamonu Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilimler Eğitimi Bölümü’nde Araştırma Görevlisi olarak görev yaptı. Yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimini Hacettepe Üniversitesi Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi Enstitüsü’nde tamamladı. 2001-2002 yıllarında Kahire Üniversitesi’ne okutman olarak görevlendirildi. 2005 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Kastamonu Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih Bölümüne yardımcı doçent olarak atandı. 2006 yılında Kastamonu Üniversitesi’ne naklen atandı. 2011 yılında Atatürk İnkılapları ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Tarihi alanında Doçent unvanı aldı. 2016 yılında ise Tarih Bölümü Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Tarihi Anabilim Dalı’na Profesör olarak atandı. Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi’nin Dekanlığı yaptı. Çalışma alanında altı kitabı, uluslararası ve ulusal hakemli dergilere makaleleri bulunmaktadır. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Serhat Yılmaz, Kastamonu Üniversitesi İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Fakültesi Tarih Bölümünde görev yapmaktadır. Atatürk Kültür, Dil ve Tarih Yüksek Kurumu Atatürk Araştırma Merkezi Bilim Kurulu üyesidir. İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Fakültesi Dekanlığı görevini yürütmektedir. Yılmaz, evli ve üç çocuk babasıdır.

Elif Tokdemir Demirel is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the English Translation and Interpretation Subdivision at Kırıkkale University in Turkey. Elif Tokdemir Demirel was born in Trabzon in 1971. She graduated from Marmara University, English Language Teaching Department in 1994. She completed her MA in Bilkent University, MA TEFL Program in 1997 with an MA Thesis on Computer Assisted Language Learning. She completed her PhD at Middle East Technical University in 2009, English Language Teaching Department. Her dissertation was on the topic of feedback in academic writing. She formerly worked at Karadeniz Technical University, Department of English Language and Literature between 1994 and 2017 and gave undergraduate and graduate courses on Applied Linguistics, English Literature, ELT and Academic writing. She carried out doctoral studies through Fulbright scholarship and post-doctoral studies on corpus linguistics in the USA at Northern Arizona University. She is a Board Member of the European Writing Centers Association. Her research interests are second language writing, writing center research, corpus linguistics, learner corpora studies, corpus aided translation, teaching technologies in ELT and classroom interaction. In her research she focuses on the interaction between academic writing pedagogy and corpus studies, as well as register variation. She has been carrying out research on corpus linguistics applications in ELT and Translation Studies. She has published an edited books on Online Learning and is currently working on an edited book on Interdisciplinary Academic Writing. She has directed university supported projects on mobile learning an corpus linguistics. She has directed and is currently carrying out TÜBİTAK 2237 projects on classroom interaction management in ELT. She is also acting as a consultant on TÜBİTAK 2209 Student Research Project on Translation Studies. She is devoted to research in both Corpus Linguistics and ELT and Academic Writing mainly and loves teaching and assisting learners in research.
2019 Ege Üniversitesi Reklamcılık doktora mezunudur. 2014 yılından itibaren Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım Bölümünde görev yapmaktadır.
